The XSmall measures 69cm from the shoulder to the bottom of the coat. The Small measures 73cm from the shoulder to the bottom of the coat.

I’ve had a similar Rain bird jacket for over 15 years. Size XL. But your measurements charts tell me I’d need a 3XL. I find it hard to imagine your sizing would have changed over the years. Please advise. How hard is it to return or exchange an item.

Oooh, that's a tough one, Suzanne. I want to say that the sizing hasn't changed over the years, which in my time dealing with the brand it has been pretty consistent. But I'm not sure what the sizing was like 15 years ago.
In general, the sizing is generous, so if you take an XL in most jackets then you would be pretty safe with an XL in Rainbird too, but I can't say for sure. Sometimes people need a bigger size to ensure the arm length is right.
Exchange is easy, but we generally don't cover the return costs unless details are incorrect. I'd suggest maybe getting in touch with us on 1300 914 007 and asking to speak to someone in the relevant department to try and compare some measurements to determine if the sizing has changed.

Thanks for your enquiry. The Stowaway Adult Jacket sizes are unisex so it's hard to give you an exact answer as Rainbird don't provide a conversion chart but the chest measurements of the 3XL is 122-126cm so it would be best to double check your chest measurements before proceeding.

I am 157cm tall a female and a comfortable size 12 I would be wearing jumper and shirt underneath the jacket and like to make sure it is not too tight but not too big either

It's hard to say exactly which size of the Stowaway Adult Jacket you'll need as the sizes are unisex. I would assume that the small would likely be about right. They have a chest measurement of 90cm, so I'd suggest measuring your chest and going from there.
