Can I place this mug on an open flame to heat up any content inside of it?
I'd say you could, but it's not overly thick metal so it will heat up quickly, and anything too hot may see it warp a bit. But over a small fire should be fine. Bear in mind that it will blacken the bottom of the mug in doing this.
I like to have a pretty hefty, sturdy mug. I went to Anaconda and their mugs felt so light and flimsy.
The small mug is only 60 grams, Jumbo. I wouldn't put it in the hefty and sturdy category, but I would say it has a good balance between strength and weight.
Hey there, just wanted to ask where is this mug made/manufactured? China/PRC? Thailand?
These are made in China, Jumbo.
Hi could you please tell me the dimensions of the small mug, ie the diametre
G'day Andrew,
When you select the size from the drop-down menu it will update the in-use dimensions. The smallest mug (8cm) has a 7.5cm internal diameter.
What are the volumes of the various sizes?
G'day Steven,
Great question! We've calculated these as if they are full to the brim. The 8cm mug can take 450ml; the 9cm mug can take 650ml and the 10cm mug can take 800ml.
I purchased an 8cm which holds 350ml.
Thanks for the heads up Steven.
I wonder if I can use the steel cup over the small portable gas stove? To brew up tea or coffee. Cheers
G'day Bill,
You can certainly pop the Campfire Stainless Steel Mug straight over a gas burner. Just make sure the flame size doesn't exceed the diameter of the mug though.
