Would these provide any protection against snake bites? If not do you have another brand you might suggest?

The Sea to Summit Quagmire Gaiters Canvas are the best pair to protect against snake bites as they are the most densely woven, puncture-resistant gaiter Sea to Summit has to offer. They offer at least 39cm of protection up your leg compared to the ankle gaiters. Sea to Summit has a handy PDF file called Advice on Snake Bite Prevention and Treatment which outlines some helpful info on this.
