The Sea to Summit Spark SP3 Sleeping Bag has a 10D nylon shell and 850+ Loft European Goose Down that is so light and compact even ultra-lightweight adventurers can sleep warm at night.
At just 625g for the regular length bag, the Spark SP3 has a perfect all-season balance between warmth and weight and compresses down so small that Sea to Summit had to re-engineer their compression sacks to reduce effectively.
Utilising Sea to Summit’s Ultra-Dry Down fill means the Spark SP3 Sleeping Bag will not wane in performance should it succumb to moisture. A 1/3 length light gauge zipper combines with a close-fitting mummy design, foot box, 3D hood and a sewn through baffle construction to create a lightweight bag for minimalist adventures in all but the coldest of climates.

sea to Summit Spark III vs Talus 11 answer
Hello I have narrowed my choice down to one of the two bags mentioned above, the initial use will be for coastal VIC ( Wilsons Prom in Autumn to spring ) and later on the Heyson, and the Larapinta trail and maybe the Bibbumbleton track, I am leaning toward to talus 1 as I thought it might be more durable.

G'day Kelvin,
Thanks for the question. Both the Spark SP3 and Talus TSI are great options with similar temperature ranges. Obviously, the Spark will be a little lighter, but also a little smaller and with the 1/3 length zipper. The Talus has slightly more durable fabric and a longer zipper which might give a little more flexibility. I personally would lean to the Talus TSI so you can unzip a little if it's warmer, but both are great bags.

Does the spark SP3 come with a combined storage cell/laundry bag1 answer
Other sites describe the storage cell as a laundry bag - just checking. Also how do you choose left vs right zip. Right handed person here.

G'day Shaun Shaun,
The Sea to Summit Spark SP3 Sleeping Bag comes with a storage bag and a compression sack. They used to do laundry bags on previous models but they don't anymore.
They only manufacture this bag with a left-hand zipper, but conveniently being right handed you'll be able to reach across your body to your left shoulder to unzip. Most right-handers preference a left zip.

Does this unzip all the way?1 answer
I like to have the option of having my feet poking out, looking for a bag that allows this or better yet unzips to a quilt-style shape if possible
Neha - Warana(6 years ago)
G'day Neha,
No, it doesn't, I'm sorry to say. The Sea to Summit Spark SP3 Sleeping Bag is designed to be as light as possible. Because of this, the zip only goes down one side about a third of the way down.
