When it’s time to throw the towel in – literally – the Spare Wheel Bin by Companion offers a space to keep wet clothing, rubbish, or recovery gear on the outside your vehicle cabin.
Whilst resistant to water, mud, sand and dust, the wheel bin includes heavy-duty zips and dust flaps, plus multiple eyelets for easy cleaning. Keep the goods separate from the garbage, with the two large side pockets – and enjoy a spotless back seat, thanks to the main compartment’s large 60L capacity.
Defy dusty, red dirt roads with its simple but hardwearing design for an easy hose rinse. With a harness mounting system designed to fit most spare wheels, the Companion Spare Wheel Bin is the practical rubbish and recovery gear recruit to your road trip toolbox.

Hi, I'd like to find out the zippers on this bag. If you can provide some details on the zipper size and a photo that would be great. I had the Oz Trail version of this but the zipper weren't happy duty enough and they failed. I was happy with the bag otherwise and would get it again if it had better zippers.
G'day Randy,
The zippers between the Companion and the Oztrail bags are pretty much the same when comparing the two - based on the hardware, I'd say you'd have the same experience.
Out of all the wheel bags we range, only the COmpanion and Oztrail bags have the zippers, with the heavier duty/more premium brands not using them at all.
The Bushranger Wheel Bag is the closest in style to the Companion, and worth a look.
How long are the straps to go round the spare tyre and could this be attached to the stone guard?
G'day JP,
The maximum strap length on the Companion wheel bag, including the buckle, is 142cm.
You could potentially attach this to a stone guard, just depends on the type you have and wether or not it will allow the straps to fix correctly.
