If you’re in need of a sleeping bag that’ll keep you toasty but won’t burn a giant hole in your wallet then the Caribee Snow Drift is here to save the day.
The jumbo size of this bag gives you plenty of space if you’re a bit of a restless sleeper, and the drawcord hood lets you keep your head nice and cosy on an icy cold night. With a full-length zip that allows you to join two compatible bags together, you can make one giant bag if you prefer more space to sleep. The Snow Drift is filled with tech loft extreme fibre that has tiny air pockets to trap warmth and insulate your body when conditions are wintry outside, plus there's a comfortable cotton lining that makes the interior soft to touch.
The Caribee Snow Drift comes with an integrated draft tube and collar, and an internal security pocket to keep your phone or light on hand for midnight trips to the bathroom.
How hard is it to get back into the bag? I noticed this wasn't shown on the video and the most annoying thing about sleeping bags is that you can never get them back in the bag.
G'day Karen,
You shouldn't have too much trouble, the majority of sleeping bags do go back into the bag if you stuff them in!
We've got a blog post and a tutorial video for more information on how to do this effectively, which you can find HERE.
Hope that helps!
Can this be connected to the zip of same model but with the logo in the middle (due to recent facelift)? Thanks
G'day Liam,
Even though I'm assuming the zip hardware hasn't changed on these Caribee bags, because we don't have the original version still in stock we have no way of confirming compatibility.
If you live local to one of our stores you are welcome to bring your old bag in to test out.
When choosing a right or left zipper on a sleeping bag, is it the side as you look at it or when you are in it? I would like it on my right when I’m sleeping in it - as I lie on my left side. So what side zip should I select? Many thanks
G'day Sam,
The zip side is based on the side when laying in the bag flat on your back. The left hand zip will run down the left side of your body, and the right hand side will run down the right hand side of your body. Based on your description you'll need a right hand zip.
can this sleep bag be converted to a blanket?
G'day Sarah,
Yes, the Snow Drift Sleeping Bag can be opened up and used as a blanket.
Hello, if possible could you please recommend what size compression bag would be best for this Sleeping bag?
G'day Aiden,
The largest of the compressions sacks we sell is the Sea to Summit X-Large and will be just large enough for the Snow Drift sleeping bag.
just wondering where it is made
G'day Daniel,
I've just double-checked the tag for you and these are made in China.
Does this bag come in other colours, as I need to buy 2 for my boys? Merci
G'day Julie,
Thanks for getting in touch, the Snow Drift bag is just available in the one colour, so you might need to get them both the same colour and maybe stitch a patch on one to differentiate them.
Which liner do you recommend for this particular sleeping bag?
G'day Angela,
You could use any of the standard rectangular sleeping bag liners with the Caribee Snow Drift Sleeping Bag. If you're just wanting to keep the inside of the bag then a Cotton Sleeping Bag Liner is a popular item, if you're wanting to add some warmth you could go for a Fleece Sleeping Bag Liner.
Does that mean I will have to get a left and a right zipper bag?
G'day Kathy,
You can zip two of the Caribee Snow Drift Sleeping Bags together, you'd just need to get one with a left zip and one with a right. Alternatively, if you tuck the hood away on one of them, then you can use two with zippers on the same side.
so that the bag can be packed into a small size for transporting
G'day Louise,
The Caribee Snow Drift Sleeping Bag does come with a bag but it isn't a compression bag. If you wanted to pack it down smaller, then you might want to look at investing in a separate compression bag.
I'm assuming I purchase one left hand and one right hand zipper to zip these bags together ?
G'day Laura,
That's exactly right. You only need to use the zip on the side to join them together. The zip through the foot end can stay as is.
So you can put your feet out.
G'day James,
The Caribee Snow Drift does allow you to unzip just the foot end of the bag so that you can allow a bit of breeze through the toes.
Would this sleeping bag be machine washable?
G'day Karen,
As the Caribee Snow Drift Sleeping Bag is may from Nylon, we'd recommend hand washing only. While it is unlikely that an occasional machine wash would do any damage, the drum is susceptible to rip and destroy the fabric.
