Lightweight, compact and quick to set up - the Skygazer 3XV is an affordable tent for quick getaways.
The inner is made from polyester, with No-See-Um mesh windows for ventilation and insect protection. It’s also got a Silver-coated UVtex 2000 fly to deflect heat, and a heavy-duty bucket floor to protect from wet ground. You've further protected from leaks thanks to the heat taped seams, and the cross-pole construction helps with water shedding.
This tent has a spacious enclosed front vestibule, so you can easily store all your gear. For extra air flow on a hot night, just roll the fly back off your tent for extra ventilation. Getting in and out of this tent is easy, as it has D Doors which reduce the risk of tripping. It’s also got a lantern hook and organiser pouches which makes it simple to set up and organise your gear inside the tent.
A great beginners tent for the kids, a festival or a weekend trip – the Skygazer 3XV is a quick and compact choice.

Coleman airbed fit? 1 answer
Would the Coleman all terrain queen airbed fit OK in this or any other airbed recommendations for a trip around oz, thanks
Brad - Tumut(4 years ago)
G'day Brad,
Yes, you can fit a Coleman All-Terrain Queen Airbed in the Skygazer 3XV. Depending on how long you're planning to be away you might want to consider a self-inflating mattress, as an air mattress doesn't have any insulation properties, so won't do so well in colder months.

Would a 42cm thick queen blow up mattress fit?1 answer
I have an Intex Durabeam Air Bed in Queen size 2.03m x 1.52m x 42cm - would it fit in this tent? I'm worried that the sloping of the tent will be an issue with the very thick mattress.
Hiba - Thornbury(5 years ago)
G'day Hiba,
It's hard to say whether or not your mattress will fit, there will be approx 50cm of extra width or 25cm on either side of the mattress, however, we think as you've said, the slope might cause an issue with a mattress at 42cm.

In humid rainy conditions that require the fly to be closed will this still ventilate? 1 answer
In humid rainy conditions that require the fly to be closed will this still ventilate? Am worried about it becoming stuffy if it's hot weather and the fly is down/closed.
Hiba - Thornbury(5 years ago)
G'day Hiba,
The Skygazer 3XV has a fair amount of internal mesh, so we don't think you'll have any issues with ventilation with the fly closed. There should be enough of a gap between the inner tent and fly that you get good ventilation.

Will this freestand without pegs?1 answer
Does this need pegs to hold it up or could you get away with just using the poles?
Cassandra - Dampier(6 years ago)
G'day Cassandra,
The Skygazer 3XV will need to be pegged out to ensure the front vestibule doesn't flap around. All tents also rely on the pegs to provide anchoring and structural stability.

Mattress Size1 answer
Would a inflatable queen size mattress fit inside the skyfazer 3xv?
Tracy - Gladstone (6 years ago)
G'day Tracey,
The sleeping area for the OZtrail Skygazer 3XV Dome Tent 2m X 2m so you will be able to fit most double mats comfortably. If you're looking specifically for a queen mat, we sell an OZtrail Leisure Mat Queen that will fit inside the Skygazer 3XV. Check out the link here.

Can the front be attached to (additional) awning poles?1 answer
Can the front of the fly be attached to awning poles in the same way that the OzTrail Tasman 3V tent can be, to create a bit of added outdoor shelter?
Sarah - Glen Huntly(6 years ago)
G'day Sarah,
The OZtrail Skygazer 3XV Dome Tent does not include awning poles, however, you can certainly purchase awning poles separately to attach to the front vestibule via the eyelets or peg loops. You can find the OZTrail Awning Pole Set here.

Is it easy to set up with 1 person? 1 answer
Or is a second person required?
Rachel - Paddington, QLD(6 years ago)
G'day Rachel,
The Skygazer 3XV will be fine for one person to set up, you might need a second person to help with the fly if the weather is bad, but apart from that you'll be fine by yourself.

Groundsheet1 answer
Could you please suggest a good groundsheet for this tent?
Thanks!
Jordan Kettle - Mentone(6 years ago)
G'day Jordan,
I'd suggest having a look at the Oztrail Ultramesh Tarp. They're a great groundsheet, and although they won't fit perfectly, you can read about doing some easy alterations to them on our blog here.

How do you compare Sygazer 3XV to Tasman 4V and Hiker 3?1 answer
Which one would fit a Coleman Quickbed High Rise Queen? and also which one is more waterproof to withstand heavy rain?
Roy - Mansfield(7 years ago)
G'day Roy,
Of these three options, the best bet would be Tasman 4V. I would suggest though that maybe the Coleman Sundome might be a better option within your budget.
