If you’re thinking of just using your exercise mat to sleep on – let me stop you right there. Get yourself a proper high-density sleeping mat for a solid night’s rest in the great outdoors. This mat will fit two adults on it with no dramas – so it’s perfect for couples, or the lone wolf who likes to sleep sideways (no judgement here).
At 10cm thick, it’s going to give you and your camping partner that extra bit of cushioning which is what makes it a great for choice for campers who like their comfort but don’t want to spend an arm and a leg. Made with a durable 75D polyester exterior, brass valves and a compressible open cell foam interior, the Camper Super Deluxe Mat inflates quickly and easily without the need for noisy air pumps. The foam insulation used in this mat is anti-fungal, so your outdoor bedding will stay clean and mould free for many future uses.
It’s not pleasant when you’re trying to sleep but every time you toss or turn you feel the whole mat move. EPE have cleverly added anti-slip dots on the base help keep your mat in place overnight, so you can get a better night’s sleep. So, if you’re looking for a comfy double mat that won’t burn a hole in your wallet, the Explore Planet Earth Camper Deluxe Double is a solid choice.
There isn't any official weight limit on the Explore Planet Earth Sim Camper FDD100 Double Mat. Given that it's not an air mattress, it'll be fine with most people laying on it.

Which double self inflating mat?1 answer
I can't choose between the Explore Planet Earth Double Mat, the Darche 1300 or the Zempire Twin Bomber. Which one would you recommend is the best? Especially in regards to packing up and its carry size, as I'm wanting to purchase for festival uses and occasional camping. Thanks!

G'day Maya,
I've just had a lie down on all 3 for you to see which one I found the most comfortable and probably found the EPE Sim Camper FDD100 Double Mat the most comfortable, although comfort can be very subjective. Some other things worth noting are that the EPE has the thickest mattress & the longest warranty, the Zempire is the lightest at 4.9kg & packs down the smallest but has a crease down the middle & the Darche sits second in almost every category - so where some lack, it is a good middle of the road option. Sorry that I couldn't be more definitive than that but hopefully it gives you some guidance.

What is the R-value?1 answer
Is this suitable for subzero weather?
Daphne - Mosman(7 years ago)
G'day Daphne,
Thanks for your question about the Explore Planet Earth Sim Camper FDD100 Double Mat.
Unfortunately, there is no R-value provided by the manufacturer of this product so it's hard to give an indication whether it would be suitable for subzero temperatures. My suggestion would be to chose a mat that has an R-value of 4 or more for use in subzero temperature.

Will this fit nicely over an Oztrail Queen Easy Fold Stretcher?2 answers
Hi, I’m trying to find a suitable mattress to sit on top of my Oztrail queen easy fold stretcher.

G'day Ann,
I've just set up one of the Oztrail Queen Easy Fold Stretchers on our shop floor and popped one of our EPE Sim Camper FDD100 Double Mats on top. Like Romeo and Juliet, these two seem to be made for each other! Let's just hope that the ending is a lot less tragic.

G'day Ann,
When you put a mattress on the Oztrail Queen Easy Fold Stretcher, it does certainly lean a little away from the middle of the bed. It will seem a lot worse when you first get on, but once your partner is on the other side, it balances out a little better. The bar down the middle is important for structural integrity of the stretcher but does become a little annoying when you want to cuddle your partner!

Connect to a single?1 answer
Does this double connect to a single, using buttons?
Also, is that packed size correct?
Simon - Melbourne(7 years ago)
G'day Simon,
Unfortunately, I've just had a look at our display model and there are no buttons on the double to connect a single.
But, the packed size is correct.

Is this mat bonded?1 answer
I've heard that mats are less likely to bottom out if bonded.
Simon - Melbourne(7 years ago)
G'day Simon,
Having asked the rest of my team here at Snowys HQ and can confirm that the Explore Planet Earth Sim Camper FDD100 Double Mat is, in fact, bonded. So good news for you, it should last you for many a camping trip!
