Marrying high-tech design with the reliability of stainless steel – the Sigma Pot from Sea to Summit is the durable choice for al fresco cooking.
This pot is made from marine-grade stainless steel, with a grippy, black base that absorbs heat and prevents any slipping about on top of a stove. When in use, the Pivot-Lock handle remains secure with the option to lock it away during transport. Rest the lid on the side of this pot thanks to the clever silicone LidKeep, while the large interior has it a breeze to clean. When you’re cooking pasta or veggies, simply drain the excess water through the lid strainer, while the graded scale on the side of the pot makes precision more achievable.
Perfect for your outdoor expeditions, the Sigma Pot from Sea to Summit is the dependable option when quality is a priority.
Marine grade stainless steel
Pivot-Lock locks in place during use and locks away for transport
Silicone LidKeep for resting the lid on the side in use
Grippy black base for better heat absorption
Sigma pots nest neatly with separately available Delta Light tableware
Staff tip:Heads Up! The 2.7L pot no longer fits quite as neatly inside the 3.7L pot as it did in the video. It still fits and is functional, but the lid doesn't close all the way.

Campfire 1 answer
I think Ive seen Harry Fisher use these on a fire? Is the recommendation similar to the alpha pots and keep the handle away? Or are these slightly better or worse on fire then the alpha?
Aaron - Gisborne, VIC(10 months ago)
G'day Aaron,
Sea to Summit says not to use these on a fire. The silicone-rubber grip of the handle and the polymer handle thumb latch could be damaged by the heat of a fire or contact with flames. The Sigma pots are made of stainless steel compared to the Alpha with Hard Anodised Alloy however, depending on the heat distribution you may cause irreparable damage to the handle and locking mechanism. If you were super careful to ensure that there was only heat under the pot, and not under the handle, then it might be ok, but there would be some risk, and not something we'd be willing to recommend.

G'day Mio,
Unfortunately, the Trangia 25 series is too big to fit into any of the Sigma pot range.

Storage bag for 3.7lt pot1 answer
Does Snowys have a suitable Bag which will fit the 3.7 and 2.7lt pots?
Andrew - Lalor Park, NSW(4 years ago)
G'day Andrew,
We don't currently have any stock to double-check this but based on dimensions, they should both just fit inside the Trangia Cooker Storage Bag. Alternately, you could use an X-Large size Sea to Summit Stuff Sack. The diameter of the bag base will fit the larger 3.7L pot, and the excess fabric can be folded down over the pot.

Jetboil Compatible?1 answer
Hi, can these be used with a JetBoil Flash and pot stand?
Stuart - 6027(4 years ago)
G'day Stuart,
Yes, the Sigma pots will work with the Jetboil. Ideally, this would work best for boiling water as the heat is fairly concentrated and may cause hot spots in the middle of larger pots.

Alpha 4.21 answer
is it possible to put the same kit together as the Alpha 4.2 using the sigma range and delta range purchased separately
Craig - Somerville (4 years ago)
G'day Craig,
The Delta Campset 4.4 Set nests inside the Sigma 2.7L Pot or 3.7L Pot, so you could buy one of each of those if you're happy with one pot. Unfortunately due to the design of the Sigma handle means that you can't quite nest the 2.7L inside the 3.7L Sigma.

Can you use this on induction?1 answer
Can you use this on induction being stainless steel?
Vinh Le - Brisbane(4 years ago)
G'day Vinh Le,
We've previously given the Sea to Summit team a call to confirm, and they've told us that unfortunately, these pots are not compatible with induction cooktops.

Nesting gas canister1 answer
Hi, Will a 230g butane gas canister fit inside the smallest pot? Thanks, Jules
Jules - NSW(5 years ago)
G'day Jules,
Diameter wise, the 230g canister does fit into the 1.2L Sigma Pot, however its about 5mm too tall so the lid doesn't fit! So close, yet so far! Hope that helps.

1.9l inside the 2.7l pot?1 answer
If you invert the lid on the 1.9l before securing the handle would it then fit inside the 2.7l pot?
B - Cygnet(5 years ago)
G'day B,
I'm guessing you've watched Ben's handy video of the 1.9L and 2.7L pot, unfortunately the lid isn't the issue, it's the overall height of the pot itself. If you invert the lid the handle will still swing around at the same heigh and cause the obstruction that stops this fitting inside the 2.7L. The 2pcs Set that includes the 1.2L and the 3.7L tends to be the best option.

Stove top usage1 answer
Just making sure before I purchase if these would still be ok to use on a Coleman stove top? Thanks
Rhonda - Reservoir(6 years ago)
G'day Rhona,
Yes, you can use the Sea to Summit Sigma Pots on a Coleman stove. The main thing you'll want to check is that the flame doesn't lick too far up the side of the pot toward the handle. So we'd probably suggest going for one of the larger two sizes.

Nesting1 answer
How do these go nesting inside one another? Wondering if the rubber at the bottom gets in the way
Nick - Sydney(6 years ago)
It's not actually rubber on the bottom, Mick, it's a black coating that is pretty much flush with the stainless steel and it doesn't impede the ability to nest the pots together.
Keep an eye out on our YouTube channel, we have plans to produce a video showing these pots nesting together. One of the sizes doesn't fit as you would expect it to but I can't remember which one, and we don't have the full range in our store at the moment, once we do we'll shoot some footage to better explain this.

Nesting bowl 1 answer
Will the sea to summit x bowl fit inside the pot? I’m assuming by the measurements listed it will (15cm bowl, 16.3cm pot) butcwanted to double check before I order it.
Heather - Mackay(6 years ago)
G'day Heather,
I've tried this out just to make sure and the Sea to Summit X Bowl will fit inside the 1.9L Sigma Pot. Just for reference, the Sea to Summit XL Bowl will only fit inside the 3.7L Sigma Pot.

What is the difference between the SIGMA pots and ALPHA pots?1 answer
I undestand the SIGMA is made of stainless steel and ALPHA made of an alloy. But does the 80 gram extra weight of the SIGMA (1.9L) have any value?
Ned - 3000(6 years ago)
G'day Ned,
The Sea to Summit Sigma Pots are brand new to the range and as you indicate they look pretty similar to the Alpha Pots. The advantage of going to the Sigma Pot will be the added durability, the grippy black base that will absorb heat and prevent slipping, as well as the option to use a heftier scourer if you accidentally overcook your dinner and get it super stuck to the pot. The disadvantage of the Sigma Pot would be the extra weight as you indicate, but compared to other pots on the market these are still super light.
