There are no compromises with the Led Lenser SEO 7R Headlamp. Its most notable features are the light sensing Optisense technology and its USB rechargeable battery.
Optisense is a German engineered technology that senses the surrounding light and automatically adjusts the headlamp output to preserve battery life and give you the right light when you need it. Also featuring the Led Lenser Advanced Focus System, the single High-Power LED is focusable from flood to spot, and the Smart Light technology offers four lighting modes including a stageless dimming feature.
Power options include the included USB rechargeable Lithium Ion battery or 3 x AAA batteries as a backup. A rotating head directs 220 Lumens of light where you need it and a red LED preserves your night vision. Complete with a set of batteries and a handy carry clip, the Led Lenser SEO 7R leaves no leaf unturned.

Red light acess
Russell - Broulee (6 years ago)
G'day Russell,
You can switch the red light on without having to cycle through all of the settings. According to the user manual, in order to switch between the white and the red LED, when the SEO 7R is off, press and hold the switch button for 2 seconds. The unit will stay in Red mode until you switch it back to white mode but holding the button down for 2 seconds again. You can download the user manual for the SEO7R on their website, which might prove handy in making a decision.
