Set up your swag securely, or sleep soundly in your tent with the RS-1S King Single Stretcher from Oztent.
This stretcher is super wide at 107cm, with a sturdy steel frame, durable 300D fabric and a huge 200kg weight rating for support. The integrated straps on the RS-1S Stretcher
If you’re not a fan of setting up your swag on the cold ground then the RS-1S King Single Stretcher from Oztent is the stable and secure option.
Is the mattress width actually 107cm wide or is the pole width 107cm and the mattress less?
G'day Michael,
Great question! The external measurements refer to the largest measurements, so the 107cm refers to the longer lever end pole.
The physical width of the bed from side pole to side pole is just under a meter wide, so will accommodate the majority of single / king single mattresses and single swags. Some people have used also used an 1100 wide swag with this stretcher with no issues to comfort.
Hi, Wanted to check if the 23 Zero Bandit 100 Swag will fit nicely on this stretcher ?
G'day Joe,
Yes, the Bandit 1100 is a good fit on the RS-1 Stretcher, however there will be a small amount of overhang on either side.
Stretcher width107cm, looking for a roughy 100cm width sleeping mat , is there any?
G'day Ki,
We have a range of mats that will suit these stretchers, although they won't spread the full widrth. All of the self-inflating style mats are around 75-80cm wide, or 125-130cm wide, with nothing in between. The Darche All Terrain Mats are 90cm wide, as are their replacement swag mattresses. It probably depends on what you're hoping to achieve, but we tend to find most people are pretty comfortable with a 75-80cm self-inflating mat on top of these.
just sleep one in RV3, will this stretcher fit in the tent?
G'day Robert,
It absolutely will but you'll be running it side to side not front to back, as it won't fit that way.
Hope that helps!
Hi, Will this stretcher fit in a RV3 Oztent ?
G'day Mark,
Yes, the RS-1S Stretcher will fit in an RV3 tent, however it will only fit in width ways across the tent.
What country these stretcher came from.
G'day Cirilo,
The Superdome Single Swag is a little smaller than the RS-1S Stretcher, however the combination should work without any issues, your swag just won't be quite as wide as the stretcher.
Does the stretcher come with a carry bag? And if so is it decent quality?
G'day Max,
Yes, I'm happy to confirm the bag is included. Its good quality with reinforced stitching on the zip and carry handles.
Does this need a mattress/swag on top or can it be slept on without any topper ?
G'day Jake,
You can sleep directly on top of the RS-1S King Single Stretcher if you'd like, there is no need to add a swag or mattress topper.
I have the ARB swag, which is great, just wondering if it would fit well on this stretcher. It looks like a great solution.
G'day Brendan,
We dont sell ARB so i cant try this combo out to say for sure, but I can confirm our stretcher dimensions are pretty spot on! If you take the measurements of your swag footprint, and it fits within the stretcher dimensions, you should be right.
Thanks Lauren! I think it'll work a treat.
I went ahead and got this one - the ARB swag fits perfectly! Can't wait to take it out - looks much more solid that my previous stretcher.
With the swag designed for keeping you dry in wet conditions, how does the stretcher perform when water would run off the swag and onto the stretcher and pool under the swag.
G'dau John,
The RS-1 Stretcher is made from a 300 denier polycotton canvas which is not dissimilar to the canvas Oztent use on their RV tent range. We'd say if there is rain overnight and water pools between the stretcher and swag floor to try and dry it out as best you can during the day. Or if it is wet for your entire trip just make sure to dry it out well when you get home before you store it away.
I have the Darche Megadome king single swag with 215 x 110cm footprint. The advertised setup dimensions of this stretcher are 217 x 105cm, but in your video you say it's 1m wide: so which is it? and will my swag fit? Do you accept returns if I find it unsuitable?
G'day Glen,
The video is correct in demonstrating the width of the actual stretcher bed section as 100cm, however when taking into consideration the extra over hang of the shorter end post, its 105cm. The width of the longer end post, with the extra grip section, is 111cm. Hope that helps.
If your swag footprint is 110cm wide, it wont be suitable I'm afraid.

Hi , have just purchased this stretcher off Snowys and was wondering out of the 900 and the 1100 Dirty Dee Swag , which would suit the RS-1S the best , thanks !
G'day Ian,
The Dirty Dee 900 will probably be a slightly better fit for the RS-1S. The 1100 will hang over either side a little bit so we'd probably suggest going for a slightly narrower swag instead.
With the rs1 attached on it how do I anchor it on the ground to be secure in windy conditions?
G'day Pam,
There are no peg anchor points in the RS-1 Stretcher itself, so if you're planning to use the stretcher with a swag on top then securing the swags guy ropes will keep it secured. However, if you're planning to just sleep directly on the stretcher under a tarp or hoochie then we'd suggest grabbing some pegs and guy ropes and rigging up some short guys out from each corner of the stretcher.
Hi. With the Oztent Rivergum Sleeping would this be a better stretcher than the King Goanna. Can you fit two of these from the door to the rear in the RV5?
G'day Sean,
Thanks for your enquiry. The RS-1S King Single Stretcher is a bit too long to fit from the door to the rear of the RV5, unfortunately. Although the sleeping area offers 2.6m in width, the back of the tent is angled and the frame of the stretcher will dig into the fly of the tent so we don't recommend trying to squeeze it in. The same goes for
I'm looking for a stretcher that will fit an oztrail ridgeback swag. The oztrail dimensions are 210 x 110 compared to this stretchers which is 217 x 107. Would this not be wide enough? Is there another stretcher that would be more appropriate?
G'day Elliot,
It's hard to say how well the Ridgeback swag will fit on the RS-1S King Single Stretcher. The sizes provided indicated to me that your swag is going to be a little too large and will likely fit, but just overhang the stretcher a little. This is the widest stretcher we have apart from the double sizes with a bar down the centre.
Has anyone actually had one of these inside an RV5? I find the king goanna touches the back wall already due to the slope.
G'day Matt,
We haven't personally tried it as we only have one display model of the Rs-!s Stretcher. However Oztent has specifically designed it to fit, so we're pretty confident that they've tried it out and they fit well.
I have the King Goanna stretcher. Would the RS-1S be a better stretcher for using with the Exped megamat? And is it more stable than the K.G stretcher? I have the RV5 tent.
G'day Ron,
Yes, the Exped Megamat 10LXW will fit on the RS-1S King Single Stretcher. It will give you a little more width than the King Goanna so it might prove to be a little more comfortable. The design is essentially the same as the King Goanna, and doing a bit of a shake test on them both they're about as stable as each other.
Would the darche 1100 airvolution swag fit on top of this stretcher well?
G'day Robert,
The Darche 1100 Airvolution Swag will sort of fit on the RS-1S King Single Stretcher. The Stretcher is slightly narrower than the swag so you'll end up with a little bit of overhang, but you should be able to make it work.
Hey guys. How much storage room would you suggest is underneath the stretcher regarding to height that would not interfere with you whilst sleeping on top of the stretcher?
G'day Jaye,
I've just had a staff member who weighs about 72kg lay on our demo model and, just to be on the safe side assuming it'll sag a little more if you weigh a little more, you'll have about 35cm of space under the stretcher when it's in use.
I’ve ordered one, hoping to have it for an upcoming trip.
G'day Mike,
We're expecting Oztent to deliver the new RS-1S stretchers in late March mate.
