Difference between this and the Coleman table & benches1 answer
Hi, What is the difference between this and the Coleman’s table & benches? Is one sturdier than the other due to the design of the bench legs?
Jen - Perth(6 years ago)
Both pretty much offer the same functionality, Jen. The Lifetime table and bench set are probably a little sturdier, but the chairs don't offer the same amount of seating space. As you mention, the legs are a little different with the Coleman chairs having four points of thin contact that may sink in soft sand, whereas the Lifetime Table & Bench set chairs have a wider leg base that will sit firmer on soft ground, but may rock around a little on uneven or rocky ground. I've had the older version of the Coleman table and bench set for a number of years now and I'll still see a good number of years out of it yet. I hope this helps.

Brand??1 answer
Summary shows brand as Lifetime, however in the details the write up indicates Oztrail.
Please confirm what brand this is
Paul - Ballarat(7 years ago)
G'day Paul,
Sorry for the confusion with this one. It's sorta both, Lifetime is a brand that's owned and manufactured by Oztrail. So whilst it's technically Lifetime, it is owned and made by Oztrail.

What's the difference between this and the old model? (Lifetime sports table & bench seat)1 answer

Brent - Victoria(7 years ago)
G'day Brent,
Great question. From what I've uncovered in my research, not much. The major difference seems to be that it has changed name and that the table is a little bigger.

total thickness after packup1 answer
just looking to get a measurement of the total thickness of the table and benches after they have been clipped underneath the table?
Shannon - Mackay(8 years ago)
G'day Shannon,
I've just measured the display model again to check, and the Recreation Table and Bench Set is 7cm when packed, which includes when the benches are clipped underneath.Â

Are there particular benefits of this one over the Coleman folding table and bench set ?1 answer
.
Matt - Gundaroo(8 years ago)
G'day Matt,
I've just compared both from our display models and the main difference between the two, is that you can fold the benches up and clip them underneath the table on the Lifetime Recreation Table and Bench Set, whereas on the Coleman Folding Table & Bench Set pack up as three seperate pieces.Â
The tabletop of the Lifetime model is also made from a denser plastic so it would be a little more heavy duty than the Coleman.Â
That's not to say that the Coleman doesn't have it's benefits too - it's lightweight for easy transport, and is very easy to set up and down with it's locking system - but there are features that do seperate the two.Â
