The Deuter Quantum 60 + 10 SL Hybrid Travel Pack is for the world travelling women that
The main compartment has top-access, as with most hiking rucksacks, as well as front-access, so you feel a bit more civilised when unpacking in a hotel room. Conveniently clipping onto the front is a handy 18L daypack which features a myriad of pockets to keep everything you need for a day trip organised. The main pack
You won't be restricted to the city with the Quantum 60+10SL. This is a fully-
Does this only have a small front zip for accessing items or is there are a larger zip around edges of bag for easier access?
G'day Sarah,
The Deuter Quantum 60 10 SL Hybrid pack has a few options for accessing items. There is the small bottom section zipper to access the bottom third, and then the larger access zipper that you can see in the image just to the outside of the day pack. You can also access the pack from the top hood.
Are they good for long hikes and ventilation
G'day Machelle,
Yep, the Deuter Quantum SL packs use the Air Contact SL harness, a slightly slimmer version of the Air Contact. It'll be great for longer hikes and it will provide pretty reasonable ventilation for your back due to the strategically placed airflow channels in the back panel and the soft, perforated material in the shoulder straps and hip belt.

G'day Kimberly,
I've had our warehouse staff weigh one of these on our nice scales and as it ships in the bag, it weighs 3.02kg. So the weight of 2.79kg Deuter have given us either doesn't include the daypack, or they're being a bit ambitious!
I am trying to compare the traveller with the quantum
G'day Michael,
The Deuter Quantum 60 10 SL Hybrid Travel Pack, being a hybrid pack, is as much a hiking pack as it is for travel. Because of this, the carry harness doesn't zip away, nor is the shoulder strap removable. It does come with a travel cover, however, so it hides the straps away when in transit.
What is the difference between the women's quantum and the mens? Can any sex use either? Im just asking because i dont think i need 70+10. 60+10 is sufficient. Plus the womens looks better.
G'day Kyle,
There are a few differences between the men's and the women's Deuter Quantum Hybrid Travel Packs in the straps. The women's tapers away over the chest and is tighter around the neck and shoulders, whereas the men's is wider on the neck and shoulders but the straps run over the chest. The women's is also designed to take more weight on the waist strap, whereas the men's takes the weight more on the shoulders.
Hi, with the Deuter Traveller Travel Pack SL Black & Turquoise 60 + 10 L. Does the L include the daypack or is that additional L?
G'day Steffi,
The 60 10L capacity for the Deuter Traveller Pack is just for the main body of the pack with the extra 10L being an expansion option. The daypack is an additional 18L.
Okay great, so just to confirm the main backpack body is 70L (with the extension zip), and all together with the carry bag it will be 88L (70L + 18L)? Or is the 15L from the carry bag included in the 60 + 10L? Thanks!
G'day Steffi,
The main pack is 60 10L (70L in total when the expansion gusset is in use). The detachable day pack has a separate capacity of 18 litres. The added capacity of both the main pack and day pack together would be 88 litres.
Hi Does this bag have space for a hydration bladder? Thanks
G'day Leah,
The Deuter Quantum 60 10 SL Hybrid Travel Pack do have pouches for a hydration bladder in both the luggage and day packs, however, they don't have drink tube openings. As a result, you will need to run the drink tube either through the top opening of the luggage pack or between the zips in the daypack. The luggage pack could hold a Camelbak Crux 3L bladder while the day pack would only be able to hold a Camelbak Crux 2L bladder.
