A large tent where you can spread out with exceptional ventilation, but a smaller pack size? How much better can the Pronto 10 V2 from Zempire get?
This tent is loaded with features, including a cabin design with two side-by-side rooms that can be opened up into one large space by removing the zip-out dividing wall. Each room has a main entry door with awning access, and there’s a choice of setup on the awning itself, with a 3-stage gullwing door and central zip - so you can tailor it to suit the weather and your comfort. If there’s a bit too much clutter going on, there’s a protected rear storage area with access from inside the tent through a large zippered opening.
With loads of ventilation points throughout, plus 4 external windows and 2 entry/exit points, the Pronto 10 V2 from Zempire is your perfect portable party pad.
The zempire ground sheet is now unavailable for this. Can you suggest an alternative groundsheet of the same size i could use please ?
G'day Matt,
While you won't be able to get an exact fit for this tent, we'd recommend looking at the Oztrail Ultramesh Tarp. You'll need two of the 2.44 x 4.88m to cover under the tent and the front awning area.
Hi Guys, is the Pronto 10 now disocuntnued? if not when is stock due.
G'day Leanne,
They are discontinued, the Aerospeed is Zempires new super upgraded line to replace them.
Check out the Aerospeed here.
Hi Team, family of 5 and we LOVE our Pronto 10. Have always wondered if anyone has used a plug in 12v pump instead of the hand pump? Granted, it’s super quick but I’m just curious.
G'day Mark,
You cant use a standard 12v pump for mattresses, etc as the pressure rating isnt high enough - you need something more along the lines of an air compressor.
The Zempire Supercell Pump is a great option, bare in mind these style of pump are abit noisy, but they make short work of air tents.
hi i want to know we love our tent but one thing i cant seem to get right is the doors zips on one side or the other seems to too tight each time we set up and im wondering what is a good fix for this? are we pegging out the poles section too wide could that be why? i would really like a fix as we dont want our zips breaking we want it to open easily kind regards
G'day Muzzy,
I've just heard back from Zempire and they recommend to reduce the tension on the zips, be sure that all of the doors etc. are zipped closed before pitching (pegging) the tent.
This will ensure that the zips are not placed under excess tension when the tent is pitched.
Hopefully this will help with the zip issue.
Thanks for this answer. We’ve had similar problems. I’ll try it out next time.
Hi, can I not use awning still have an access through the front doors? Also, I am planning yo buy Zempire Aero base 3 shelter. Do you think the shelter will go well with this tent? The only reason that I am thinking of this option is to fit both my shelter and tent in a 9 meters and 5 meters campsite.
G'day Sungjin,
You can have the awning unzipped and rolled up, keeping it out of the way with full access the front doors. The Aerobase is a great shelter, it doesn't have a linking system for the Pronto tents, but they'll still work well together side by side.
Hello. Looks like a great tent for us. Quick question. We have a Spinifex bunk bed stretcher (180 (L) x 106 (H) x 71.5 (W) cm) for our girls. Would it fit within one room of the tent as well as an exped mega mat duo? Unsure of dimensions so might be pressing it but like the idea of one side sleeping one side table, kitchen area. Thanks in advance!
G'day Rebecca,
The dimensions of the sleeping area are 428cm x 338cm, we haven't tried this with a bunk ourselves, but looking at the dimensions and assuming one half of the tent is about 214cm x 338cm, the bunk bed and the Megamat Duo should fit horizontally on one side of the tent.
Is the valve on this tent the same type as the valve on the Dometic range of air tents? Im wondering if I could use the Dometic electric pump (or similar). I’ll be using this tent for touring over 3 months so that’s a lot of strokes of the manual pump!
G'day Rob,
The valves on the Dometic and Zempire tents are Boston valves, but the method of the way the pumps attach between the brands is different. It is best recommended to stick to the Zempire pumps for the Air tents, the Zempire Supercell Pump is designed to inflate the Zempire Air Tents correctly. We haven't tried the Dometic Electric Pump so we wouldn't be able to tell if that will work sorry.
How dark does the room get in the Pronto 10 V2? I have a Coleman Gold 4p tent and am looking to upgrade to the Northstar 10p for the whole family to go camping because it's a darkroom tent. The Gold 4p (and by extension the Gold 10p) just doesn't block enough light. I'd consider going the Pronto if it's a decent amount darker than my Gold 4p. Thank you in advance!
G'day James,
It may be a touch darker than the Gold series, but nowhere near what Im assuming you're looking for in a tent.
The darkroom coatings or light suppression technologies work really well, so if you are wanting a tent that supports daytime naps for kids, or protects from caravan park lights, etc the Northstar series will be the way to go.
I understand with the pronto 5, the fly can be completely removed and can be used as a stargazing tent. Can this be done for this pronto 10 tent? And also for the roof the pronto 5 seems to have 4 mesh triangles, from the videos does the pronto 10 only have the 2 mesh triangles? thanks
G'day Al,
Yes, you can remove the fly if required. The roof of the Pronto 10 does only have 2 mesh panels, but they take up majority of the roof space as they come off the top from the side walls. There's no real need for the other smaller roof panels to be mesh.
Hope that helps!
Does the listed weight of 24.3kg refer to the tent/fly only, or the tent plus all accessories (awning poles, pump etc)?
G'day Emily,
The weight refers to the entire product weight, of everything packed up into the bag.
Hope that helps!
I am a bit worried that it uses, from what it looks like, a single continuous air pole. What to do in the event of an air pole leaking air in the middle of a holiday? Is there any guide on how to identify and fix the problem? Is the repair kit supplied?
G'day Roman,
The tents are designed to maintain structure in the very rare event that you may have a puncture. It's incredibly unlikely that you'll have a leak, the poles are designed inside a multi-layer sleeve that is puncture and pressure resistant.
Its certainly not like an air mattress or a bike tyre, and works on the same technology as Surf Lifesaving or Police rubber duckyboats.
There are spare air tubes available that are quick and easy to replace if required down the track.
What’s it like inside the tent if it’s wet outside? There are large sections without a fly so am worried it could be hard to manage and cold.
G'day Elissa,
The tent has a 5000mm waterhead rating, so there is no need to worry about getting wet in this tent. The fly helps to reduce condensation and provide extra protection for the roof. In terms of managing the cold, all of the windows are dual-layered, however the internal ceiling is mesh, so it might be a little colder than some other tents in the middle of winter.
Design and put up process looks good. Looking at the pictures it’s hard to tell if the fly comes down to the ground on all sides. Does the fly come to the ground on right and left sides? Also is there mesh inner on sides? (Also what is it like in torrential rain?)
G'day Michele,
The fly on the Pronto 10 doesn't cover the side windows, it just comes to the ground at the rear of the tent. The side windows are dual-layer mesh and solid nylon. The tent has a 5000mm waterhead rating which is fairly high when compared to most similar tents on the market, so it will be in rain, it may struggle in torrential rain, depending on how long the rain persists.
Am considering this tent as has very good design features including small pack down size, but am worried about reviews mentioning issues with the air poles. What were the previous issues and how has this version fixed these issues. Thanks.
G'day Jeff,
The previous Jetset models had a batch with a few pole issues, but the new Pronto model shouldn't have any pole issues.
Hi guys, how long does it take approximately to inflate the Pronto 10. Is it the sort of thing I will regret having to do every time I camp?
G'day Brendan,
The Pronto 10 has one of the fastest inflate times of any air tent on the market. It should only take you a few minutes to inflate the tent to the required PSI using the supplied pump.
Hi Snowys have they simply changed the name of the Jetset 10 (series 2) or is the Pronto 10 different?
G'day Paul,
Yes, the Pronto 10 is the new and improved version of the Jetset 10. They've made a few changes to the frame system to aid easier replacement of airpoles if they're damaged, as well as reduce weight and bulk.
