Size of holes in colandar1 answer
Hello! I'm trying to find a collapsable colander that has smaller holes so I can drain things like lentils. Would you say the holes on this colander would be smaller than the Popup Colander & Bowl? Thanks so much

G'day Kel,
The Silicone Colander has similar-sized holes to the Popup Colander & Bowl so lentils and quinoa might be a bit small for these colanders. We'd recommend getting a sieve from a homewares store for those as the holes will likely let most of your lentils through sorry.

Is it dishwasher safe?1 answer
In other words, when cleaning time comes, can I pop it in to be cleaned or do I have to handwash?

G'day Gillian,
I've just double checked and the Popup Silicone Colander doesn't technically say it is dishwasher safe, but it does list that it can tolerate up to 100'C. We'd say it could be ok in the top rack, but I'd proceed with caution. The Popup Essentials Colander is listed as Dishwasher Safe.

Hi,
Is the base made from silicon or stainless steel? I can tell on the inside there is stainless steel rim but can't tell if the bit with the holes is stainless steel or silicone?

The whole base is stainless steel Bec, it looks deceiving in the pictures as the colour of the silicone shows up in the reflection.
