You’ve just spent what feels like a lifetime chopping, simmering and finishing off your pasta sauce – all you need to is drain your spaghetti and you’re ready to eat a well-deserved meal. The problem? You’ve forgotten to bring a colander with you on your trip. So you try and drain it the old fashioned way without one – but it backfires, slopping on the ground leaving you hungry and on the verge of a rage blackout.
Don’t be caught out without all of the your essential camp kitchen items again, and get yourself a portable, space-saving design like the PopUp Colander and Bowl. Not only do you get two items in one – these products fold up easily and fit into each other for easy storage.
On your next caravanning or camping trip, make sure you bring a colander, so you can wash and drain your food without any food preparation disasters.

Hi, just checking what's the temperature it can withstand, considering I'll probably pour boiling water over it when draining pasta etc. Thanks!
There is no temperature stated for these sorry, Jenny. They are designed to be used as you would use a colander in your kitchen though, so boiling water is fine. It's best to keep them out of ovens and microwaves though.
See above
G'day Mel,
I've just measured this and can confirm they are 31.7cm from the outside handle edge to the outside handle edge. They're 26cm across from front to back.
Can the bowel be used in the microwave
Good question Ann!
I've just researched the types of plastics used in this product (TPE & PP) and have only really found information about PP which states that whilst it may not be detrimental to the product to heat it in the microwave, it may present health problems so its probably best not to use these in the microwave.
I would like to know how many litres the bowl and colander can hold
G'day Jodi - After some high-level number-crunching and a conversation with the supplier, I'm going to say it's around 4 litres. That's approximate, but there doesn't seem to be any more reliable info available. Hope that helps. Cheers, Paul
That's great, thank you.
G'day Pam,
I've just spoken with Companion, and they've confirmed that the Pop UP Colander and Bowl is indeed BPA free.
