I've just double checked our Explore Planet Earth Pop-up Change Tent on the shop floor. It does come with a detachable floor that sticks on with some velcro patches.

I wish to hang a shower bucket over the top of the tent - can I detach the roof to allow this

G'day Kevin,

The roof on the Explore Planet Earth Pop-up Change Tent is detachable and doesn't need to be attached to the tent for it to stand. So you won't have any issues with hanging a shower bucket above the change tent.

Is there a hook of some sort to hang a portable shower at the top? Is the tent strong enough to hold it?

G'day Will,

These pop-up change tents and other shower tents in our range are basically just designed for privacy and for feeding a shower hose through, so if you're talking about a portable shower bag, this weight would be a bit too much for the pole design sorry.

As far as I can find on the Explore Planet Earth website and in our system, there seems to be only one colour available for the Pop Up Change Tent - and that's in the grey and orange colour.Â

Does this tent have a mesh floor? Also why is it so heavy?2 answers

I am wondering if this tent has a mesh and plastic floor? Also it appears to be much heavier than other po-up tents (such as Oz Trail ones). Why is this? Does it make it less likley to flex in wind and is the material more resistant?

Gâ€™day Kristen, as soon as you posted this question we also thought that stat was a little bit fishy. I took an EPE Change Tent to the packing area and weighed it, and turns out itâ€™s actually 2.98kg! Iâ€™m not sure where the 5.75kg figure came from, but nonetheless thank you for bringing this to our attention so we can fix the specs. In regards to the floor of this tent - it does come with a polyethylene floor that can be attached with Velcro to the bottom of the tent. The Oztrail Pop Up Ensuite Shower Tent and XL Privacy tent are made from polyester which is the same as the EPE Pop Up Change Tent - so the fabric should have the same wind resistance.
