Lid is loose1 answer
I night this bucket. The product is detailed as handling any nasty odours. It won't do that.. the lid loosely sit on top of the bucket... It doesn't seal or click into place. Very disappointing.

I guess not everyone wants the lid to secure in place, it can make it easy to take off if you find yourself trying to access it with just one hand. We don't have any other alternatives I can recommend at this stage sorry, Helen.

Does the lid fix to bucket1 answer
Does the lid fix onto the bucket at all? Say if an animal was investigating my rubbish and manged to tip the bucket over would the lid just fall off?

The lid doesn't fix to the bucket itself, it really just sits in the top, so if an animal was around they could well tip it and spill the contents. I'm not sure if this is a suitable option, but there is the Croc Bin that is designed to be mounted to a flat surface and keep out animals.

I've just double checked and the Bucket with Lid doesn't have a locking mechanism, the lid just sits in the top lip.

What temperature can this bucket withstand, and also what is the maximum loaded weight it can withstand?

G'day Alison,
You can fill the Companion Pop Up Bucket with Lid to the top with water but I wouldn't recommend using it for heavier things like sand. As for the temperature, it can withstand temperatures up to 100 degrees Celsius.
