is this able to be used on my cooking stove to stir food without melting it?? or suggestions of other lightweight spoons that dont melt?

G'day Bec,
You can use the spoon to occasionally stir, however, I wouldn't actively leave it in the pot. I generally use mine to stir when I'm cooking up a pasta sauce or similar, and it's always been fine, but I've not left it in there for too long. If you're wanting something that definitely won't melt then the Alpha Long Handled Spoon might be a better option.
