Bung Thread1 answer
What is the fitting for the bung as I want to add a tap on the end of a hose. Will it take a 19mm irrigation fitting?
Les - Lockleys, SA (7 months ago)
G'day Les,
The thread style is MPT we're pretty sure, and its 25-26mm. There's a few of the team who have used irrigation fittings with their Jerry Can, but they've taken the Jerry to Bunnings and manually tried screwing different options whilst there to find something suitable.

What is the diameter of the mouth of the jerry can?1 answer
I'm looking at using this jerry can with the Companion 12V shower. Will the pump (55 mm diameter) from the shower fit inside the jerry can?
Angela - Brisbane, QLD(2 years ago)
G'day Angela,
Its just the standard 5cm mouth that features of the majority of food HDPE jerry cans. We have tested the hot water system pump ends before, and unfortunately there's no jerry can in our current range that is compatible.

Tap Storage1 answer
Does a "Jerry Can Lever Action Tap" screw on, on the inside of the main screw cap, while not in use? i.e. like the Proquip Jerry Can
Tim - Pages Flat, SA(3 years ago)
G'day Tim,
I've checked this model Jerry in all sizes, and they do have the threaded port inside the lid for attaching taps.

Is this clear?1 answer
Can you see the level in the can ?
Gregg - Mosman, NSW(4 years ago)
G'day Gregg,
The colour is white but slightly see-through meaning you are able to see the water level through the plastic in a lighted area.

Can a tap be fitted to the top or the bung hole?1 answer
I see that you have some taps for sale. Can any of them be used on this unit?
Naomi - Sydney(4 years ago)
G'day Naomi,
There are two different options that will suit the Jerry Can 20L. The Jerry Can Lever Action Tap that will screw into the bung on the side near the bottom, and the Jerry Can Tap & Cap combo that will screw in place of the top red cap.

Any plastic taste?1 answer
Does the water have any kind of taste from the plastic? And is it clear enough to see the water level through the container?
Jake - Sydney(4 years ago)
G'day Jake,
When these Jerry Cans are new there may be a slight smell/taste of plastic. Once you've aired it out and used it a few times you shouldn't find it too much of a problem. You'll be able to see the water level through the plastic.

Pressure relief valve?1 answer
Hi, I am wondering if this jerry can has a pressure relief valve? So when pouring from the top air can enter the container and water can pour out unhindered. Thanks
Luke - Melbourne(5 years ago)
G'day Luke,
The 20L Plastic Jerry Can has a bung in the bottom on the opposite side to the cap and pourer so you could open that up a crack to improve the flow.
