When you’re hiking on your own, all you need are the bare, multi-tasking essentials for meals - which is where the Pinnacle Soloist from GSI Outdoors comes in.
This compact and lightweight cooking set comes with a 1.1L pot, made from non-stick hard anodised aluminium so it’s durable and easy to clean. The handle on this pot also secures the components by locking into place, so you won’t even need a stuff sack with this set if you choose.
The mug doubles as a bowl and has a strainer/sipping lid for easy drinking, plus it has an insulating sleeve to keep the contents nice and hot. While the telescoping foon is all you need to eat with, and the welded sack included doubles as a sink or washbasin.
The Pinnacle Soloist also has an integrated nesting design, so you can fit your separate ultralight stove and 220/110g fuel canister inside it as well. For boiling water for hot drinks, or rehydrating pouch meals – the Pinnacle Soloist from GSI Outdoors is all you need.

Does the sip it lid for both pot and mug ?1 answer
.
Grayson - Baddaginnie(4 years ago)
G'day Grayson,
I've just had a play with one of these to double-check for you. The lid-sip-it can be used on the pot as a lid and strainer, it then inverts and fits on the mug as a sip lid.

Does this have measuring guides1 answer
Hi team, does this set have measuring guides for liquids? Needed for instant camping meals where the water is specific
LEE - Leichhardt(4 years ago)
G'day Lee,
The GSI Pinnacle Ultralite Soloist Cookset does have increments of 250ml on the inside of the pot. You could take a look at the Sea to Summit X Cup as a light and easily packable measuring cup option. Dehydrating hiking meals isn't an exact science though, so don't be too stressed if you're not able to measure down to the ml.

Can this be used on a hotplate?1 answer
gas/electric
Taryn - Macarthur(7 years ago)
G'day Taryn,
We haven't tried this ourselves, but this cookset is made from hard anodised aluminium, so we don't see why you couldn't use the Pinnacle Ultralite Soloist Cookset on a hotplate.
