Rounded sides and a folding handle, the Hillbilly Paella Pan is a versatile and unbreakable addition to your camp kitchen.
Let’s set some expectations though, Hillbilly make gear functional and unbreakable, but it’s not pretty. Made of heavy duty steel welded together and touched up with paint to keep the rust at bay, a good clean and a seasoning with fresh cooking oil will ensure your Hillbilly gear lasts you a lifetime.
Yep! A magnet sticks to these no worries, so you shouldn't have any issues with an induction cooktop.

Best gas stove to use with.1 answer
Just wondering which stove would suitable for this size. I was thinking the Quad Ring Burner. Also is there a more potable stove option - ( Not as heavy as above) What would you recommend?
Simon - Canberra (6 years ago)
G'day Simon,
You could use the Paella Pan on a gas stove like the quad burner, however, you may end up experiencing tipping due to the heavy handle design. We'd suggest proceeding with caution if you do use this on a gas stove.

Hi , are these made from carbon steel and are they non stick ?
George - Canberra(7 years ago)
G'day Gorge,
All Hillbilly products are made from steel and require regular seasoning to keep rust at bay. There are no artificial coatings used.

Just reading questions on hillbilly products. Noticed the description fir this pan says it’s painted to keep rust at bay and then answer says need to oil to keep rust at bay. Hillbilly stuff is very dark so wondering if it is painted/treated or not
Brett - Victoria Point, QLD (4 years ago)
G'day Brett,
The paint is applied to the handle welds to reduce the likelihood of rust formation. They are made from black steel and not treated with anything, so they do need to be seasoned and regularly oiled. You can read more about caring for your Hillbilly Gear on their website's FAQs.

Material Thickness 1 answer
Can you please tell me if this pan is made the same as the Heavy version of the Hillbilly frying pan? I found that the Heavy model is much better at distributing the heat.
Thanks in advance
Romy - Lara(7 years ago)
G'day Romy,
I can't seem to find our display model to check in person for you, but on Hillbilly's website, it says that it has a heavy base, so it looks to be the same thickness as the other Heavy versions of the Hillbilly Frypans.
