A robust and easy to pitch tent for a small group or family, the Oztent Oxley Fast Frame 5 is made from high-quality components and is compact enough to fit in your car boot.
This tent is constructed from Oztent’s tried and tested waterproof ripstop poly-cotton canvas – which they’ve been using for 17+ years. Set up is easy – just pop up the centre hub and lock it, then pull the legs until they lock into place. When packing down, just pull down the centre hub and the legs will easily collapse. The heavy-duty heat-sealed PVC tub floor provides protection from sodden ground, while the No-See-Um mesh fly screens will keep bugs out of your space.
The fly will keep your tent cooler in warm weather and will help reduce condensation in cold conditions. To keep air flowing through, this tent has a passive ventilation system which makes the interior fresher and more comfortable. You can also use the large awning as some extra living space by attaching some additional walls which also creates more privacy and weather protection.
The substantial construction and functional design make the Oxley Fast Frame 5 a steadfast tent for a small family or group.

We need the extra room so this tent wouldn’t work for us without the extra panels. We’d like to do something similar to the oztent rv5 where you can get the extra room and join 2 together.
G'day Matt,
We've just heard from Oztent that unfortunately the Oxley tents have been discontinued, and therefore the associated accessories. Apologies for the previous response, we'll get these tents listed as clearance on our website as soon as we can.
will the oxley 5 stay up and keep dry inside in strong wind and heavy rain?
G'day Wayne,
The Oxley 5 Canvas Tent will hold up well in wet and windy conditions as long as it is well pegged out with all of the guy ropes secured. There is a review from another customer that it performed well for them in some bad weather on Cape York, so we'd be pretty confident it should suit your needs well.
We are interested in this tent but need some information about it.
G'day Bart,
Thank you for your question. From the information Oztent has provided us, and the information on the tag of the tent itself, I would say that the frame of the tent is made of Aluminium. Hope this helps.
Hi Guys. I'm interested in the Oxley 5, but there don't seem to be side panels offered for this tent. Is it being discontinued? Also, is it possible to position a taller centre pole at the front of the awning to change the configuration to an "A" pitch? Thanks and regards
G'day Michael,
Previously there was a 'Complete Panel System' available for the Oxley, however, this is no longer available and there aren't any other options. In regards to a centre pole at the front of the awing, I've checked our display model and there are no eyelets in the front centre of the awning, which would make it difficult to securely attach a pole.
I understand the tent only comes with two awning poles. Which extra poles should I get to put the awning up like in the photos?
G'day Andrew,
Grab yourself some Oztent Alloy Poles in the 220cm length, and if you want a nice crisp peak and front then it would also be worth grabbing some Alloy Telescopic Spreader Poles.
Hi guys I’m torn between the Oxley 5 and the 5lite. I like the price and weight of the lite, but am a bit dubious of the water resistance of the floor. The Oxley 5 is a bit more expensive and heavier but has the quality pvc floor and canvas🤔 I’m 50/50
G'day Nick,
The Oxley 5 and 5 Lite are both great options, with the tent material being the major difference between the two tents. Generally speaking, a canvas tent will have a slightly longer lifespan but requires a little more care and attention to detail when you're packing your gear away. The PVC Tub Floor on the Oxley 5 is quite durable, and I think worth the money when you combine the tent, floor and fly material. It's up to you, but I'd probably be leaning a little toward the canvas model.
I've got 2 oztrail jumbo single strechers, will they fit in this tent without touching the ends. Thanks
G'day Brian,
We're pretty confident two Oztrail Jumbo Stretchers will fit in the Oxley 5 Tent with no problems. As long as the tent is pegged out and taught they should touch the ends. We'd love to be able to try this out for you, but we don't currently have an Oxley 5 on display to check for you.
We use 2 Oztrail jumbo single stretchers in our canvas Oxley 5. Leaves room for a central corridor and our dog! Our bags go under the stretchers.
Thanks
G'day Sean,
I've just called Oztent and they confirmed that the Oxley 5 has an integrated media pocket.
I'm pretty set on getting the oxley 5. what is the differences beween the oxley panel system and the jet tent panel system? Are the the same design? I.e front and side doors with mesh screens? As it only looks like the oxley has side openings?
G'day Andrew,
You're right on the money there, the Oztent Oxley 5's panel system doesn't have a door per say on the front but the entire front opens up to a large opening, with door type openings on the sides.
Can you please let me know what the differences are between the Jettent and the new Oxley tents?
G'day Romy,
The Oxley is the new model (and replaces) the Jet Tent. So they're basically the same tent with a few upgrades and a colour change.
To learn about all the features of the Oxley, you can check out our video here.
I’m trying to find the complete panel system you mention in the vid. Could you give me a link to it please? Thanks :)
G'day Linda,
Oztent haven't made these available yet, but we hope to have them soon.
Sorry for the delay.
