The Coleman Overlander 4P Dome Tent is perfect for campers looking for a quality tent with a no-fuss yet functional design for 2-4 people.
A large front vestibule with two entrances and built in floor is a great place to store gear, or bunker down in bad weather. Two included awning poles can be used to pitch either vestibule entrance as an awning, whilst the main tent features windows, low level vents and a rear entrance.
Internally, organiser pockets keep valuables safe and at hand, a cord management system facilitates lighting, and the whole tent easily packs away in a generously sized carry bag for transport.
As these tents that are so well reviewed are no longer available what is your recommendation for a dome style tent for 2 people plus gear and space to shelter out of the weather (extended vestibule) for occasional car campers (moderate cost, weight not critical)

Hi Vanessa,
There are a few options you could look at with the Zempire Neo 5, Blackwolf Tanami Delta 4 or Mojave HV4 and the Roman Tracker 4VD being some of the standout comparisons as they all have a similar sized footprint to the Overlander and are really well made. (You can compare the product specifications side by side using the compare button on our website)
If you consider the waterproofing of these four, the Roman Tracker and the Zempire Neo have the highest rating and the Neo has the longest warranty. All but the Mojave are around the $230 price range and are great value for money.
I hope those options give you good food for thought. If you have any further queries, please give us a call.

Are you getting any more of these tents in stock?
Ben - Brisbane(8 years ago)
G'day Ben,Â
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately the Overlander 4P tent has been discontinued and we don't currently have any left in stock.Â
We do have a pretty big range of other 4 person dome tents which you can check out here though if you like.Â

G'day Luke,Â
We don't have the Overlander 4P on display at the moment, but I've called Coleman and they've been able to confirm that this tent does have mesh doors.
As for the lighting hook - they're still getting back to me on that query, but I will let you know as soon as I hear back from them.Â
Emily - Snowys(8 years ago)
Hi Luke,Â
I've just heard again from the Coleman rep, and they can't get a confirmation on the light hook at this time. But they have said that they are 99% sure (personally) that the Overlander 4P has a lighting hook inside - so that's all we can go from I'm afraid!Â

Can you use the fly just for the dome, or does using the fly require setting up the extra vestibule chamber out front?1 answer
Brandon - SOUTH PERTH, WA(8 years ago)
Hi Brandon, the complete fly including the front vestibule must be erected in order for the tent to function properly.

How heavy is it?1 answer
How heavy is tent overall when packed into bag? :)
Kirra - NORTHCOTE SOUTH, VIC(8 years ago)
Hi Kirra, the weight indicated on our website (12.85 kg) is the weight of the tent in its bag. This includes all poles, tags, spare parts etc etc.

How long does it take to erect?1 answer
Leonie - Doonan(9 years ago)
I'd allow about 30 mins for the first time Leonie, but a seasoned professional (which you will be after the firs few uses) would be able to set it up in around 10 minutes without any distractions.
