Hey team, I can’t seem to find any info online as to whether or not you could leave a self inflating mat and/or bedding inside and still manage to fold it up. I understand it would be fatter but if you could leave bedding inside I would buy one in a heartbeat
G'day Bohdan,
You definitely cannot leave a self inflating mattress inside at all, at absolute best you might get away with one of those thin old school hiking mats that are similar to a yoga mat - but nothing more than that.
In terms of bedding you could probably leave a sheet and/or thin blanket in there, or something like a down quilt that compresses completely flat, but ultimately all bedding would need to be removed to pack away.
Unfortunately I'm not aware of any stretcher tents that allow you to keep bedding inside for pack up - if this is an important deal-breaker for you I would recommend looking at a swag, and combining it with a stretcher.

Hope that helps.
Hey guys, what mattress would you recommend for added comfort?
G'day Todd,
You've got approximately 70cm of width to play with inside the Original Tent Cot so we'd probably suggest checking out something like the Deluxe Camp Mat, or Sim Camper F100.
Would be great if the fly could be left on all the time.
G'day Evan,
We would recommend always removing the fly and packing it down separately otherwise there is a risk of the fly getting pinched in the framework.
Hi, Would you be able to measure the distance from outside to outside of the legs where they contact the ground for me. I'm thinking of getting one of these or the oversize model to attach to my pontoon boat for overnight camping on the water. If it's not too much trouble could you also measure the oversize cot so I can compare. Cheers, Rob.
Thanks Ben, Looks like I can only fit the original tent cot as I think the width of my boat is only 170cm. I'll go over and measure for sure and get back to you with an order. Thanks for your help. Cheers, Rob
