With a strong identity and long history dating back to the late 19^th century, the Opinel knife is an iconic design that remains relatively unchanged for over 100 years.  

Back in 1890, Joseph Opinel created the first knife in a Savoie village in Maurienne. This knife is recognised as one of the most well-designed items of all time, holding a place in the leading museum of art and design – the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Over the years, the range has expanded past its traditional knives to include gourmet, outdoor, garden, and kitchen knives, covering all your needs and necessities.
