The Nomad 1 is a fairly basic entry-level hiking tent, the design style will generally mean that you have to be specific about setting up the tent so that large flat sides are bearing the brunt of the wind, or if they are, you'll want to make sure your pegs are well anchored. The Coleman Ridgeline 2P is also an entry-level tent, although it has a slightly lower profile, and a curvier design so will most likely be a slightly better option in windy conditions.

You could use a Zempire Mono Footprint under the Nomad 1, it won't be an exact fit, however, it's the closest fit we've currently got.

The Nomad 1 Hike Tent isn't a free-standing tent so you would need to have at least 8-10 peg points available to keep the tent secured upright. If you give us a buzz or send us an email we'll happily try and help suggest some suitable options for you.

There haven't been any formal Waterhead rating tests conducted on the Oztrail Nomad 1 Hike Tent. So, unfortunately, we don't have any exact measurements on it for you, we can only pass on what Oztrail claim in regards to waterproofing of the tent.

Yes rain may get into the Oztrail Nomad 1 Hike Tent if you open the fly when there is a lot of rain. Best option would be to use the zipper at one end and be super swift if the weather is bad.

You certainly can use the Oztrail Nomad 1 Hike Tent without the fly, it'll stand up just fine. As for ventilation, there are some vents on the back of the tent to allow for some cross ventilation but it doesn't open right up, no.
