The Neo 8+ is the stable and functional group tent that’ll house you and a few others on your outdoor adventures.
This tent has a 3000mm waterhead rating and is fully seam sealed to keep you warm and dry in your shelter. And when the weather is warmer, the large windows will allow for cool air to flow through your shelter.
The Geodesic frame and low rear profile add to the stability of this tent, so it’s going to hold up really well in the elements. The Neo 8+ also has increased bedroom sizes which means there’s more room for your stretchers – perfect for those who like to sleep elevated off the floor.
You can set up an awning for extra undercover space thanks to the included awning poles, and this tent also comes with an expandable carry bag to make packing it away easy. The twin full side openings make this tent very livable as access is easy, and pitching is made easier due to the colour coded poles.
A classic dome tent with plenty of stability and functionality – the Neo 8+ from Zempire is a great addition to your adventure kit.
Hi wondering if you would ship the zempire neo 8 to NZ and how much for shipping?
G'day Deborah,
Thanks for getting in touch, unfortunately, we don't ship outside of Australia. Hopefully you're able to find something in NZ, Zempire is based there, so should have plenty of retailers who can help.
Please can you make a video about this tent. I am considering to buy this tent and cannot find much videos about it. Thank you.
G'day Ramil,
We don't currently have plans for a video of the Neo 8 . There is quite a bit of information on these tents on our site and the Zempire website too. Please let us know if you've got any specific questions about the tent and we can check into them for you.
Are both inner rooms fully enclosed with zipped mesh windows/doors or is the living room only enclosed by the outer fly?
G'day Rachael,
The Neo 8 tent has fully enclosed internal mesh to keep the insects out. Externally the fly provides privacy and weather protection.
What is the height of the front door entry? Would the front of this tent tuck in under one of the sides of the Zempire Aerobase 3? Thinking of using them together, with gazebo as living space and two sleeping rooms in tent.
G'day Glen,
The height at the front door entry is approximately 180cm. You could try and attach it to an Aerobase 3 shelter, but there isn't a specific way to connect the two however you could set them up next to each other.
Can the front room be completely closed off and weather proofed to use as sleeping area? So kids can sleep in back bedroom section, then we can put down double bed in the front section for us? We would then use separate gazebo for living space
G'day Sam,
Yes, the Neo 8 has two rooms that are both suitable for sleeping in and have dual-layer mesh and solid fabric for privacy or breathability as needed.
Travelling with a 4 year old so will probably have to mostly do this myself!
G'day Lia,
It is possible for one person to set up this tent by themself, but it might be a little tricky if you're trying to set it up and wrangle a 4-year-old as well. If the 4-year-old likes to be a helper they could be helpful in helping to hold poles etc while setting it up. We probably recommend the Neo 4 or Neo 5 instead if it's just the two of you, as they'll be a lot easier to set up.
Hi Snowys, Are the poles on this tent really not covered by the warranty as one of the reviews states? Can the poles be bought separately or are spare parts available for this tent?
G'day Gabi,
As a general rule with most brands, the breakage of tent poles while the tent is in use isn't covered by warranties as it's often weather-related and not due to a manufacturing fault. Poles like these are pretty cheap and easy to repair and we'd more than likely have any parts you need in the event you did have any problems.
The tent has lots of mesh zip doors and windows, which is great. Do they also come with opaque/privacy doors that can be closed on the inside (similar to Colman tents)?
G'day GR,
Great question mate! No the tent itself does not include privacy doors on the inside but instead relies upon the fly and the zip-up doors/windows for that. However, the bedroom entry from the open living
Hi, can the side doors of the "living room" be used as awnings (similar to the front door as shown in the pics?). Also, what groundsheet/footprint would you recommend to use under the base of the tent to minimise wear & tear? Thanks!
G'day GR,
I've just phoned Zempire and the side doors on the Neo 8 are just doors so can't be used as awnings. We'd generally recommend the Oztrail Ultramesh Tarp to go under the tent. The size that will best suit would be the 10 x 16 foot (3.05 x 4.88m).
hi, we are a family of 4. i do have msr papa hubba but wanted to have more enclosed living space, i saw nordisk but was skeptical if it can handle australian weather plus couldnt find anyone that sells within oz. the saw the coleman mosedale darkroom dome 9P tent and fell inlove, the only problem is, it was too bulky. then i saw the zempire neo 8. i was wondering if it’s the same as the coleman one that does have a sewn groundsheet? or the nordisk ones that has zip in floors?
G'day Nadine,
Yes, the floor is sewn into both rooms of the Zempire Neo 8 Dome Tent. I'm not 100% sure about the rest of your question though, maybe you can email us service@snowys.com.au and confirm exactly what information you're after.
PS wanting to fly with it so the inflatable version may be too heavy.
Have seen a Zempire 'Mothership' tent online but may be old. Is there an equivilent tent with 3 pods + shared central room?
G'day Chris,
There are a few options that may suit your needs but it would depend a bit on what exactly you're looking for. The Coleman Instant Northstar Dark Room 10P Tent has the 3 rooms and weighs 30kg. The easiest way to work out the best tent for you might be for you to give us a buzz on 1300 914 007 and our customer service team can help you out over the phone.
