Like every healthy yard of lawn, Muk Mat began with a humble patch of grass – a symbol of its now growing yet evergreen success. Proudly Australian, the first Muk Mat was sown by an Aussie family of keen campers, mountain bikers, and surfers, who managed to carry every outdoor adventure back inside with them as not only fond memories and funny stories, but grit, sand, and muck.

After a blast at the beach or running amuck at base camp, they’d place the same, unpretentious patch of lawn at their feet to clean off. It wasn’t long before questions and enquiries from complete strangers planted the seed to turn their single ‘muck mat’ into the now problem-solving and product-inspiring Muk Mat.
