The MT-V45F is the brand new model with a few extra features packed in. The handles and door protectors have been improved, the door latch is now lockable, and the warranty period on the Swing Motor has now been upgraded to 5 years. We've completely run out of the MT45FP now, so the new model will be the only option from Snowys now.

We don't see any reason why you can't use the Engel Mt45FP Fridge as a permanent freezer option so long as it's connected to power, it should run efficiently for as long as you need.

G'day, Does the digital display on the MT45FP display the current temp in the fridge or only the set temperature? Thanks.

It display's both Scott. Whilst the fridge is running it displays the current internal temperature, but as you spin the dial it shows the temperature at which you will be setting the fridge to. The display flashes when selecting the 'set' temperature, once it stops flashing it has returned to 'internal' temperature.

The Engel MT45FP 40L Fridge isn't really all that weatherproof, no. I certainly wouldn't recommend that it would survive for all that long in the tray of your ute.

I've just checked this for you, and the dimensions do include the handles on the Engle MT45FP. However this fridge does come with the handles unattached - so you can choose to attach them or not.

I've just had a chat with Engel, and they've said that the MT45FP can't maintain at -20° degrees celsius, the maximum it can go it -18° so it may not be suitable for storing your medication. Â

We've just fixed those specs up now, so they should read accurately on the website. As for the cords - the MT45FP Fridge does come with a 12V and 240V cords included.Â

Indeed we do! We are currently stocking the Bushman XD70 3-Way Fridge/Freezer.
A few quick points on this fridge are:
61 Lt volume
37kg weight
Dimensions- 685mm H x 655mm W x 515mm D
Pwoer Consumption- Draws 0.625 A @ 240V & 12.5 A @ 12V.
You use the 240V to cool down before you head off, use the 12V in the car while you drive and if you stop for a prolonged period of time, you'll need to set it up outside the car on flat ground with the gas hooked up.
Once set up with the gas, it'll last up to a month on a 9kg bottle.
