Fridge location1 answer
Can i travel with this fridge in the trailer? It will be strapped down, will this cause damage as the trailer will ride rougher then the tow vehicle?
Shane - Melbourne Airport, VIC (3 years ago)
G'day Shane,
If it's just a standard cargo trailer then no, I'd 100% recommend keeping it in your vehicle. I would be concerned that the fridge would get hammered in a trailer and the compressor and motor parts have the potential to be seriously damaged - any we're talking any 12v fridge here. Majority of other camping gear can go in a trailer without issue, so I'd prioritise vehicle space for a fridge.

G'day Robert,
The length excluding the handles is 80cm by my measurements. Engels listed length is 79cm which is what we have listed in the packed dimensions.

Can I run this fridge off my truck being a 24volt system...??
Matt - Noosa(4 years ago)
G'day Matt,
Yes, the MT-V80F Fridge Freezer can be run directly from a 24V truck system.
Leece - Snowys(4 years ago)
can you use an Anderson plug arrangement Bill
Bill - Werribee (4 years ago)
G'day Bill,
Engel doesn't make a cable with an Anderson plug end on it, so if you wanted to do this you'd need to have a custom cable made, which may void your warranty.

Can the 80l fridge have dual fridge and freezer zones at same time1 answer
If yes, how does this Work (add a wall between fridge & freezer?) and how to control the temp of both zones? Thanks Bob
Bob - Mosman(5 years ago)
G'day Bob,
The MT-V80F is just a fridge, or a freezer, not both at the same time. Engel do the MT-V80FC Combi which is half fridge and half freezer. You set the temperature of the freezer side, and the fridge side will be cooled by the overflow. At this stage, Engel doesn't make a model with two separate temperature control zones.

MT-V 80 Dimensions1 answer
What are the external dimensions of the MT-V 80 Fridge/Freezer minus the carrying handles.
Robert Hawke - Beaconsfield Upper(5 years ago)
G'day Robert,
I've just measured the MT-V60F as we don't have a display model MT-V80F, luckily they're the same length. Without the handles attached they are 80cm long. The width and depth aren't impacted by the presence of the handles.
