Motion Sensor for Camping Lights1 answer
Hi where is the sensor to be located ? before or after the dimmer , and the dimmer need to be on or off ? does not seem to work
michel - Nannup, WA (6 days ago)
G'day Michel,
The sensor should be inline before your dimmer switch, with the dimmer set to on. Hopefully, this will work for you. If not, feel free to give us or Hard Korr a call to trouble shoot with you.

More than one1 answer
Can I slot more than one in the line of lights? My lights run to each side of the car, from a single power source. Would be good to have a sensor on each side for security. Or would I need to have two separate power sources, and have each sensor on each line?
Kristy - Darwin City, NT (3 months ago)
G'day Kristy,
The motion sensor is essentially a switch, so you shouldn't have any issues running one on either side of your car. As long as the lights go off on two separate strings from the power source, you should be ok!

Mounting bracket1 answer
These don’t come with a mounting bracket. The dimmer bracket looks different. What bracket suits these motion sensors? Why not just include it?
David - Ormiston, QLD(1 year ago)
G'day David,
I'm not sure why Hard Korr don't include the bracket. The brackets aren't commonly requested, and people lean more towards just using the magnets or just happy for the cables/accessories to just hang in place. At a guess I'd say Hard Korr don't include an accessory if the demand for it isn't high.
The old Hard Korr dimmer switch for the original white or 2 colour lights is called the Rotary Dimmer Switch, which has the same body shape as this Motion Sensor. We dont carry those particular brackets anymore because the Hard Korr have been using a new tri-colour light system and an upgraded dimmer switch for about 2 years now, and the older style is less in demand.
Hope that helps.

Does this include a light?1 answer
I’m interested insensor lights, but unsure if this includes an actual light for example, a u light style, or if one needs other lights from the company for it to work. I’m interpreting from comments, that there is no actual light included. If you need to buy the lights to connect with the motion sensor because it doesn’t have a light (if that is the case) can you connect to a single ulight? I hope that’s clear? Thanks in anticipation of reply Ann
Ann - Melbourne, VIC (1 year ago)
G'day Ann,
No, this is purely a motion sensor to add into your existing Hard Korr 12v lighting system. If you dont have any of Hard Korrs 12v lighting systems already, you can find them here. If its just a single light you are wanting to connect to, there are a couple of different options, it just depends on where you want the light set up, how much space you want to light, etc. Give our customer support team a call on 1300 914 007 to help you pick the best option!

Charging1 answer
These are charged directly from a battery? Or do they have a USB or cigarette charging connection? There appears to be no photos to answer this question.
Toni - Kensington, SA(1 year ago)
G'day Toni,
This motion sensor is compatible with Hard Korr's 12v lighting systems, so will connect inline to the existing light cables with your setup. The Hard Korr 12v systems are plugged into a battery power source of some kind, so this sensor will just slot in wherever you'd like them to go.

Mark - Melbourne, VIC(2 years ago)
G'day Mark,
No, they're not...best bet is to keep them undercover if you're expecting a bit of rain!

Only for Hard Korr?1 answer
Just wondering if these are compatible with other brands or if it can only be used with Hard Korr lights
Casey - South Windsor, NSW(2 years ago)
G'day Casey,
The connection isn't universal. As far as we've tested on other lighting options in our range over time, it's not compatible with other brands.
