The Merrell Men’s Moab 2 LTR GTX mid-cut boot combines out of the box comfort and durability for performance on the trail.
The upper is made from durable suede and mesh, while the Gore-tex membrane will keep water out, and still allow your feet to breathe. You don’t have to stress about debris from the trail making its way into your boots, as the Moab 1 has a bellows tongue for protection. Your toes will be protected from getting knocked about thanks to the rubber toe cap, and the EVA footbed provides arch and heel support.
The EVA contoured footbed supports your arch and heel, while the Vibram sole provides a durable and slip-resistant surface to grip the terrain. Moab stands for the mother-of-all-boots, as they’re comfy, durable and supportive – so they tick all the boxes for hikers looking for a solid pair of boots.
Gore-tex waterproof membrane
Bellows tongue keeps moisture and debris out
Protective rubber toe cap
Breathable mesh lining
EVA contoured footbed with arch and heel support
Moulded nylon arch shank
Air cushion in the heel absorbs shock and adds stability
The Merrell Moabs tend to fit a slightly wider foot than most of the Salomon models. They're technically classed as a standard width, but we'd recommend popping into our Keswick store if you're able to, as every foot will fit in different shoes in a slightly different way.

Are these boots suitable for heavyweight hiking?1 answer
Are these boots suitable for heavyweight hiking up to about 5 days worth of hiking?
Erik Adair - Seven Hills(6 years ago)
G'day Erik,
The Merrell Moab Leather is a mid-weight boot and whilst I would say they are fine for carrying a heavy pack, it's worthwhile considering the terrain as well. If you're hiking on reasonably well-maintained trails boots like these are fine. If you were going to spend 5 days walking 'off track' in Tasmania, I'd probably recommend something heavier. Feel free to give us a call on 1300 914 007 and you can have a chat with one of our boot experts about where you're planning on walking and what sort of boots would be best suited.

More sizes?0 answers
Hey there, will you be getting more stock in of these? I'm a size US 10 but the only sizes available on the website are 8 and 8.5

Hi, I normally take a size 8 AU/UK or 42EU size boot. 9US with most boots. But I've read that with Merrell boots that a 8.5US size is same as AU/UK size 8? Is that correct?

G'day Craig,
You're right with that. When looking at the UK to US sizes of Merrell Boots, the UK sizes are all half a size smaller.
