Our biggest selling swag, the Oztrail Mitchell Single Swag brings together a perfect combination of quality, durability, usability and price to create what has become to be known as Australia’s favourite swag.
Tough 330gsm SatProof 600+ ripstop canvas has been saturated with an anti mildew waterproofing agent prior to manufacture to ensure your swag offers reliable protection for a lifetime of outdoor adventures. Three high tensile Durallium poles keep the canvas off your face while you rest in comfort on the 6cm high density open cell foam mattress.
Easy access through a full length top opening that features both canvas and mesh layers, weather proof head and foot awnings facilitate ventilation and heavy duty roll straps are incorporated into the design for quick and easy pack up. If you are after an all-round swag at a value for money price then the Oztrail Mitchell Swag is your answer.
Looking for a stretcher that best fits this swag
G'day Leonard,
The Mitchell King Single Swag is no longer made, but based on the size of 210cm long x 90cm wide. Based on this size the Oztrail Easy Fold Single Stretcher will be your best option.
I have no Pole set with my MK Single
G'day Dirk,
We can often source spare parts for different Oztrail products, including the Mitchell King Single Swag. I would suggest that the best thing would be to give us a buzz on 1300 914 007 and our customer service team can give you a hand with getting one ordered in.
Hello, does the Mitchell king single swag need to be waterproofed or has this been done pre sale?
G'day Melanie,
The Oztrail Mitchell King Single swag comes pretreated and waterproofed. We still recommend giving it a good soak prior to first use just to ensure all seams are swollen and any packaging smells are eliminated.
If I use the ridge pole, can I leave out the centre dome pole?
G'day Pete,
Whether you choose to use the Ridge Pole or not, you're always able to remove the middle pole. The benefit of the Ridge Pole is that it takes tension at each end and allows the swag to become free-standing as it no longer requires guy ropes to be tied down at either end. However, by removing the middle pole, the swag will loose its shape and if it starts to rain, you may get water that will pool in the middle as there will be no structure to support any runoff.
What is the difference between the Kokomo and the Mitchell king single. They appear to have the same specs. Thanks.
G'day Kirsten,
As far as we can tell the specs and features of the Kokomo and Mitchell are the same, the only difference is the colour that it comes in.
Hi, I'm after a swag that will sit on top of the OzTent stretcher I bought off you without being tied/roped down (I.E. freestanding), will this one do this?
G’day Chris,
The Mitchell King Single Swag is not freestanding on it’s own, but with the addition of the Swag Plus Pole Kit, it will be freestanding.
Hello- is it possible to upgrade the mattress for this swag? Also, does this swag come with the free pole plus kit(as listed on the oz trail website)? Thanks!
G'day Cara,
As far as I understand it, the Oztrail website says that the Pole Plus Kit is available as an optional accessory, so we don't sell this product with the Pole Plus Kit thrown in.
The mattress in this swag is removable, so a lot of people do like to add a thicker mattress for comfort. As long as the mat is under 210L x 90W cm then it should fit in the Mitchell King Single.
What is the difference between this swag and the mitchell expedition swag?
G'day Harrison,Â
On paper they do look very similar, but there is one key difference between the Oztrail Mitchell Expedition and the Oztrail Mitchell King Single. The King Single has a canvas floor (which is a little more durable) while the Expedition has a PVC Vinyl one.Â
Both models are excellent swags that are very popular in our range - but in terms of longevity, the King Single has the Edge over the Expedition.Â
Does the khaki green king single swag have a PVC floor or a canvas floor?
G'day Laura,
I have just double checked with the information provided by the supplier, and the Mitchell King Single Swag in all three colours (green, navy and charcoal) have floors made from Canvas.Â
Hello, Just wondering if this swag would cope with strong winds that usually occur in winter with the cold fronts
