Will this work with a Zempire monstamat? Are the plugs on these mattresses generally universal?

G'day Jimmy,

The Zempire Monstamat valves are a little larger than the exped ones, so they won't be an exact fit. You can use one of the extra silicone inserts to make it a slightly closer fit to aid with inflation though.

How firm does the mattress get on inflate before bypassing ? Does it still need assistance from the manual hand foam style pump that comes with an exped mattress, ?

The Exped Mega Pump gets the Megamat pretty firm, and shouldn't need any extra assistance from the hand pump. Checkout the "Features & how to use" video for a real life demo from Lauren!
