Made to last, the Jolly Swagman Matilda Double swag is a traditional style swag for two, in a simple, compact and durable design.
One full-length side zipper secures a single canvas cover, while an insect-proof mesh end panel is closed with a second zip. The Matilda swag is pitched with optional guy ropes and/or adjustable head pole through a heavy duty eyelet, while an included foot pole keeps the canvas off your feet.
The mattress is made up of medium density full-length foam on top, and high-density foam on the bottom which is cut shorter to support the torso. This progressive density design provides maximum comfort and minimal bulk.
Made with tough 15oz proofed TearCheck™ Canvas on the top, and 17oz on the base, the Jolly Swag range is finished off with high-quality components throughout.

If the swag is used inside a tent can it be unzipped so that no fly mesh or canvas is covering your head ? Basically want to use the swag as a bed mattress with the option to pull up the canvas if its really cold or the tent leaks . Thank you
G'day Luke,
Yes, you can use the Matilda Double Swag as a traditional flat roll swag. You'd just need to unzip it a roll the canvas back a little and fold the mesh panel underneath if required.
What I’m after is a traditional swag that is like a bedroll so it can be used indoors, but also has the flyscreen and outdoor capability as shown in the picture. So I guess what I want to know is, does the sandfly mesh unzip all the way around so that only the base of the mesh is attached so that you can sleep under it without anything over your face?
G'day Dave,
The Matilda Double Swag can be used as a traditional flat swag indoors. The mesh section is a triangular shaped panel at the head end that meets the side panel at the head end where the canvas changes from green to tan. When the swag is zipped up the canvas will be up over your face, as the mesh is only in the section behind your head (when laying down on your back).
It says there is an optional head pole to go with the swag. How much extra does it cost and is that something you ask for during checkout?
G’day Madelaine, I’ve just had a chat to the boys downstairs and while we don’t have any Jolly Swagman brand head poles, they recommend the AOS Swag Pole kit (Snowys code: 33582) which works perfectly with the Matilda Double, and is adjustable so you can alter it to the height you want.
