I have a gas stove with a male thread measuring approx. 9.5mm to 10mm. What is the size of this connection in mm or what is 3/8" SAE in mm and will this fit my gas stove?
Adam - Sydney, NSW(6 months ago)
G'day Adam,
The 3/8th SAE is a specific gas connection - when it comes to gas fittings it's not a matter of diameter of thread, it's also the thread angle, pitch, height, etc. If your fitting is not the same, it'll create a slow leak which is potentially deadly. You'll need to check the manufacturer's specification on your stove, or give them a call if you don't have that information available. If bought the stove from us, we may be able to chase up that info with the supplier.
