For those times when you don’t want to stick out like ‘the new kid on the block’, Darche’s KOZI Series 6P Instant Tent makes a rookie camper look like a seasoned adventurer.
The instant frame sets up and packs down in minutes and is constructed from 19mm powder-coated steel. It allows a generous 194cm head-height clearance at its peak, and with the inner tent featuring a large mesh roof and oversized windows, you get terrific ventilation throughout. There are two D-doors for easy access, with the front meeting a massive additional room that’s included within the 75D polyester fly. Use this space for securing extra gear or a sheltered hangout area with or without the zip-on walls depending on the weather. The main room has a heavy-duty PE bucket-style floor, multiple storage pockets, a netted overhead gear loft, and a lantern hook. The rear entry features an awning in the fly, and two awning poles are included, so there’s no messing around.
For even more space and privacy, attach the separately available KOZI Series Tent Tunnel and join two of Darche’s KOZI Series 6P Instant Tents together to form a setup for a large family, or kids room and adults room!

Spare parts?1 answer
Just a quick question re: spares? There are quite a few moving parts. How are Darche for keeping up spare parts a couple of years down the track?
Jason - Wagga Wagga, NSW (4 months ago)
G'day Jason,
Darche spare parts are managed directly by Darche, so if you need anything you'd contact them directly. We're not 100% sure what that looks like for them with the Kozi tents, but you can ask them via their Contact Us page.

Fabric type3 answers
Is the fabric… both fly and internal tent rip stop polyester? When they say water rating 2000 fly and 600 internal tent how does that work with huge mesh roof? One last question how waterproof is the floor and how does it compare for wear ect to say the oztrail or Coleman of similar price?
Neil - Adelaide, SA(1 year ago)
G'day Neil,
The tent is required to be set up with the rain fly at all times. The 600mm waterhead rating on the tent inner is in relation to the side walls in the even of crazy weather where you may get rain splashing up under the fly, or along that exposed front wall. The basic material on the tent and fly is the same, however, they have different waterproofing treatments, hence the difference in waterhead rating. The flooring is the same as the Coleman Silver series, and Swagger, as well as some of Oztrails original fast frame series. This type of woven PE flooring has been the primary tent flooring over the last 30 years, and will be the same as in classic dome-style tents that have been the staple in camping for some time. I have a 40 year old canvas touring tent with the same flooring type if that gives you an idea on durability. Ultimately, if you look after your camping gear, you shouldn't have any issue with durability.

I want to know if the fly and tent are rip stop polyester fabric? As there is no mention of this in the specs or your reply?
Neil - Adelaide, SA (1 year ago)
Sorry Neil, I missed that specific part of your question - no this isn't made with ripstop material.

block out?1 answer
Ho opaque are the walls/roof? How does it compare with a tent like the Oztrail BlockOut series
Andrew - Northcote South, VIC (2 years ago)
G'day Andrew,
The Kozi Series Instant up tents havent been treated with any kind of light suppression coatings, so whilst they are made of a darker fabric, they wont block light like the Oztrail BlockOut or Coleman Northstar tents do. In terms of comparison to the Oztrail BlockOut series, apart from the above info, they are on a similar level with the quality of manufacturing and materials. The Oztrail series has the added feature of a built in lighting system to offset the darkness inside the tent. Hope that helps.

Side Walls1 answer
Will there be an option of purchasing mesh walls in future?
April - QLD(3 years ago)
G'day April,
There may be, but it's not something we've heard of, or are aware of. You can get in touch with Darche directly if you'd like to provide feedback. As they are the manufacturing brand, they'd be keen to hear further info from campers.

Fitting back in the bag1 answer
Statement, not a question. Don't be like me, turn the bag over and notice the zipper that runs around the outside of the base that makes the bag significantly deeper. I can and have got it back in the bag after wrestling with it before but today I finally realised the storage bag has about 2-3 inches? or so of extra fabric if you unzip it. Very handy! Packing away does require some time and tight rolling but that will definately help next time!

Ease of set up1 answer
Would this be easy enough for 1 person to put up solo?
Ali - Wishart, QLD(3 years ago)
G'day Ali,
The Kozi series is very new to us & at this stage we haven't had a chance to play with all the gear! We've got this on our list of things to cover with Videos, but at this stage, we can only really compare it to similar-sized instant-up tents from other brands. I'm not sure if Easy would be the right word, but it's definitely doable, and I'm 100% sure that whilst the first few times might be a bit on the slow side, you'll work out your own habits and ways of doing things that makes it easier!
