Kool ties aren’t a kooky novelty tie that you dig out for Christmas parties, they’re a cooling bandana that you sling around your neck to lower your temperature in the sweltering heat.
Kool Ties have polymer crystals sewn into them, so just submerge it in water for 30-45 minutes, hang it up for 5 minutes to dry, and you're set! The water absorbed by the tie will evaporate through the mesh fabric – naturally cooling you in the process. The effect is also continuous and will last for around 2-3 days before you’ll need to soak it again.
You can even keep them in the fridge before you head out to help your body cool down even more if it’s a particularly hot day. These neckties are so versatile, you can take them travelling to a tropical climate, on summer hikes, and even to work if you’re going to be outside – so they’re an absolute must when the weather is scorching hot.

Another similar product with same cooling tech? 1 answer
Do you have a another product like this one available that is more of a scarf or Bandaner and could be used as a face mask as well? Have seen them around but not in Australia.
Bec - Melbourne (4 years ago)
G'day Bec,
This is the only product we currently have that has a cooling feature, so, unfortunately, we're not able to help you out with a bandana type product.

Is it machine washable?1 answer
Been using it a while and I was wondering if I can just put it through the wash
Talen - Rockingham(5 years ago)
G'day Talen,
I've just double-checked the care instructions on the packaging and it says to hand wash with mild soap and air dry. So yes you can wash it, but washing in the washing machine isn't advisable.
