Yes, the Instant Up Silver 8P Side Entry is a great tent for a family of 4. It is a little larger than the 6P version you currently have, and includes extra entrances, and a room divider. The other really popular option is the 8P Lighted Northstar Darkroom as it includes the darkroom coating that can help keep the kids asleep a little longer in the mornings! In terms of setting up, they are both very similar to set up to your current 6P tent, just with an extra extension of the frame.

No, the tent inner has no waterproof rating, so needs to be used with the fly in any inclement or wet weather. With the awning/s up the walls should be mostly sheltered but if the weather is wild and you've got rain coming in crazy directions you might have to pop them down.

I've had a look at the mesh on the silver instant up 4 in our store and its definitely mozzie proof but not sandfly proof. This mesh would be the same on the 8 person instant up.

At this stage Coleman has only released a side entry model of the silver 8P, however, we do sell the Instant Up Gold P which has end entrances and has been a really popular model for a long time.
