The large Eco Billy heats enough water for a carload of weary travellers who've pulled over for a roadside cuppa, what's even better is that with the Eco Billy Instant Kettle, a handful of twigs and leaves and a match, you' can have hot water in under 5 minutes.
Made from stainless steel, the Eco Billy has a cone-shaped funnel to accommodate a small fire underneath that rapidly heats water in an environmentally friendly manner.
Simply turn the billy upside down, place leaves and twigs into the cone, flip it back upright, fill with the desired amount of water, light the leaves through the holes in the base and in just a few minutes you will have hot water.

Will the ecobilly fit on the Cobb bbq to heat water please reply by email.
Fiona - Kambah, ACT(3 years ago)
G'day Fiona,
It will fit, but it most likely wont be an efficient or effective option for a Cobb. The Eco Billy requires the fire to burn up into the internal cone to heat the water - you can find a close up example of this in the instructions in the product photos. I would suggest a standard billy or stove top kettle would be better suited for your use.

Where us the billy made? Is it an Australian company?1 answer
I live mine and would like one for a friend who strictly uses only Australian made and owned.
Ej - Boulder (4 years ago)
G'day Ej,
Ecobilly is Australian owned and operated, however, they don't manufacture in Australia sorry.

Would this work equally as well on a gas stove?1 answer
Would this work equally as well on a gas stove (or on the coals) or is it only really suited to lighting twigs/leaves etc inside the cone/funnel?
Luke - Buderim(6 years ago)
G'day Luke,
The Eco Billy is specifically designed to be used with twigs/leaves etc so we wouldn't recommend using this on a gas stove.
