Icebreaker

Icebreaker started in 1995 when founder, 24-year-old Jeremy Moon, set out on a venture to create clothing for outdoor adventures that relied less on petrochemical fibres and creating a sustainable future.

In 1996 Icebreaker introduced the world's first natural layering system. This system was made with Merino wool and provided an outstanding warmth to weight ratio and had the benefits of odour resisting properties that synthetic fabrics could not compete with.

From these beginnings, Icebreaker has continued to grow to become one of the worlds leading natural fibre outdoor garment producers with everything from base to mid layers, jackets, accessories and everything in between all in styles that merge the technical requirements of adventurers with the style and comfort of everyday wear.
