A 2-burner cast iron griddle especially for the Hyperflame Stoves, plus a detachable grease cup that makes cleaning easy.
Made with high-quality cast iron, the Hyperflame Full Griddle and Grease Cup fits neatly on top of your Hyperflame stove as part of the Swap Top system.
The cast iron material provides excellent heat dispersion for even cooking temperatures, so you can cook BBQs perfectly anywhere.
Will this Griddle fit an Coleman Eventemp 3 burner stove? I've lost the original griddle that came with it and appears Coleman no longer make a replacement.
G'day Jason,
It wont, sorry - the hotplate has moulding on the underside specifically for locking into the Hyperflame Stove wind guards.
If you need a replacement, check out the 3 Burner Hotplate, it's a perfect fit.
Griddle dishwasher safe?
G'day JP,
The Hyperflame hotplate is cast iron, so you would treat it like any other cast iron cookware. Just a wash with warm water, or a wipe-off with paper towel or the like. You shouldn't have to use detergent, but if you do, just oil the hotplate before packing it away.
Will this fit on the new Coleman Peak 1 - 2 burner stove
G'day Karen,
It won't, no. The Hyperflame Griddle is designed specifically for that particular stove, and have moulding/attachment points that don't line up with any other stoves.
The Campfire 3 burner hotplate is a good fit though.
Hey guys, Do you have a bag that the hotplate can be stored in?
Not specifically for a hotplate of that size sorry, Aaron, but you culd use a universal stove bag like this - https://www.snowys.com.au/universal-stove-carry-bag. It may make it a bit bulky to fit inside the stove when packed thoguh.
Is it possible to attach legs or a frame to this and use it over an open fire or on coals? Hoping to save packing two separate griddles
G'day Don,
The Hyperflame Griddle is cast iron, so it can be used over open flame, however it is thinner than standard cast iron hotplates.
I wouldnt put the grease cup over fire, but if you have good support for it I cant see why you couldn't hotplate itself.
Is this cast iron all the way through or does it have some sort in non stick coating on the top eg. Teflon on the top?
G'day Lee,
The HyperFlame Full Griddle & Grease Cup is 100% Cast Iron, but it comes preseasoned meaning it has a nice non-stick style finish to it.
You will need to care for this hotplate like you would with normal Cast Iron cookware.
Thank you. It sounds perfect.
Will this fit on the dual fuel stove?
G'day Tim,
The Hyperflame Full Griddle & Grease Cup will fit on the Powerhouse Stove, but the protrusions on the underside which lock into the Hyperflame stove are not compatible with the Powerhouse Stove grate.
You can absolutely still use the Griddle, it just sits on top.
Will this fit the Fire Cadet? And, if so does the lid close with the griddle on? Thanks!
G'day Rohan,
Yes the HyperFlame Full Griddle & Grease Cup can be used with the FireCadet Stove. Unfortunately, it sits too high for the lid to be closed, the griddle needs to be removed and stored separately for transit.
I'm really keen on this if it's cast iron, but every other seller lists it as cast aluminium. Are there two versions?
G'day Michael,
Yep, I can confirm it is definitely Cast Iron, with the grease cup itself being Aluminium.
I know the other Coleman Griddle plates for different stove models are Aluminium, so perhaps that's where the confusion has come from for other retailers.
I've heard a few complaints about cracking on the griddle on first use. Is this a problem with the product or the way in which it is heated? How can we alleviate the issue?
G'day Ben,
When these plates were first released there was an issue with them cracking, but this was fixed about 18 months ago, so there is no need to stress. Our advice is to always heat up your plate slowly, especially if you're camped in very cold weather.
Are the listed dimensions inclusive of the grease cup? What is the dimension of just the griddle cooking area?
G'day Ben,
The actual cooking area of the griddle measures 21 x 53. The whole griddle and grease cup measures 67cm in length.
- Storage question
G'day Justin,
We've tried this out for a Q&A before so I can confirm that the Coleman Hyperflame Full Griddle and Grease Cup can fit inside the stove when the lid is closed (not the grease cup though). It does rattle a little bit, but I think you'd be fine to transport it like this. I'd probably be inclined to stick a tea towel in there as well just to help prevent any excessive rubbing.
Or similar gas stove from coleman And not just work on the hyperflame
G'day David,
This plate is specifically designed to fit on the Hyperflame stoves which are longer than other 2 burner stoves. I've just tried to fit the plate on the Triton Instastart and its too long to fit between the windshields. An alternative option is the Gasmate BBQ plate double which fits nicely on the Instastart.
Also what is the recommended cleaning materials?
G'day Paul,
The HyperFlame Full Griddle & Grease Cup is non-stick cast iron so we'd generally recommend using plastic or silicone utensils. You can clean this plate using detergent and a semi-soft scrubber sponge, the same as you would clean a non-stick frypan.
From my experience and research, pretty much every LPG stove burns too hot to do anything other than boil without burning everything. Will this diffuse the heat so I can actually cook myself bacon and eggs without them turning to charcoal?
G'day Neil,
The feedback we've had from our customers is that the Coleman HyperFlame Full Griddle is a pretty hot hotplate. It'll cook a steak nice and quickly but for more delicate foods, it might be a bit of a struggle to get the temperature down low enough.
Does the griddle and grease tray fit inside the fire knight when closedfor storage?
G'day Ryan,
I've just tested your question in-store and while you'll need tp play a little bit of tetris, it is possible to fit the Hyperflame Griddle and Grease Cup inside the Coleman Fyreknight Stove when closed for storage.
G'day Alisha,
The Griddle and Grease Cup fits within both Coleman Hyperflame models.
Just wondering if the grease cup clips into place underneath the plate? Could you please show a picture if possible. Thank you.
G'day Monica,
The grease cup actually attaches onto the plate by two pins, Coleman doesn't have any pics available - but we'll snap some in store and get them up for you on the product description and get back to you when they're live Monica.
Hi Monica,
We've got the pic of how the grease cup attaches up on the product page now, I hope this was what you were after Monica - let us know if you need any more info!
Fantastic thank you :)
Hi Will this be long enough to cover both burners on the fyreknight or does it only suit the cadet?
G'day Jeremy,
This griddle is designed to fit the Hyperflame series of stoves so will fit on your Fyreknight just fine.
