Is this hose compatible with the Companion AquaCube’s proprietary gas inlet fitting?

G'day Ivan,

No, the Hose & Regulator for High Output Stove isn't compatible with the Companion Aquacube. There are two companion hoses suitable for use with the Aquacube units based on the type of gas bottle you're wanting to attach to.

The hose that will connect to a 3/8" BSP bottle (usually 1-4kg) can be found HERE.

The hose that will connect to a POL bottle (usually 4/4.5kg or 9kg) can be found HERE.

There isn't a thread size that Companion refer to for the stove end of this hose. The stove end of gas hose connections is varied depending on the brand and model, with no specific thread size standard. The bottle end of the hose is 3/8" BSP.

We're not familiar with the Coleman guide series 3 burner stove model 5428 - I've just done a quick search for these online, and I've not ever seen one in the 10 years I've worked at Snowys. It might fit, however I'm honestly not too sure sorry, and we have no way of verifying this.

No, the companion hose has a different fitting at the stove end, and attaches to a 3/8" BSP style bottle. If you're wanting to attach your Fryenight to a 9kg bottle, we'd suggest using a POL to 3/8" BSP adapter on the end of your existing hose.

The connection at the stove end isn't a particular standard, it is a specific fitting used on the Companion High Output Stove, so is really only compatible with that particular stove.
