G'day Kathryn,
Yes, this mattress has a high flow one-way valve, which is reversible. If you are wanting to deflate you just set the valve to the correct position, and roll your mat up. It's often best practice to do a rough roll up first to get as much air out as you can, and then unroll it and do a smaller neater roll once there is less air inside.

Thickness measurement?1 answer
How thick is this mat? Specs on other websites and Lauren's comment on this one say the mat is 10cm thick but the measured spec you show on this page is 8cm - which is right? If 8cm is what you measured, then is the 3d version also the same?
Antony - Perth, WA(3 years ago)
G'day Anthony,
The 3D mattress is definitely 10cm, which is easy to ascertain as it's a 3D mattress structure and has side walls. The 2D mattress box states that it is 10cm thick, however in real life tends to measure closer to 8cm. One of our display mattresses measures 9cm thick. Ultimately due to the shape and construction on the 2D mattress, there's a lot more variability in the thickness and how it's measured.

This or Zempire Monstamat?1 answer
Hi, I kind of like the two valves. Would it make any difference in deflating at all? Ie, would it be easier? I still like the straight sides of Zempire as well as it seems to be more popular and better quality. Would you be able to find any pros and cons between the two? TIA
Luke - Mona Vale, NSW(4 years ago)
G'day Luke,
The 2D Mega Deluxe Queen and the Zempire Monstamat Twin are both great options. We tend to find it really comes down to personal preference. The valves on both mats are top quality, and both seem to do a good job, with the Zempire valve offering inflate and deflate in one location. The squared side design can give you a feeling of a little more space as you feel less like you'll roll off the side. I'd honestly be happy to recommend either option and have great confidence in the quality of both brands.

Two mats in an RV51 answer
Hi, Is it possible to squeeze two of these queen mats in an RV5? We have 2 little wrigglers and I dont think a queen and single would give us enough room
Madhu - Sydney(4 years ago)
G'day Madhu,
Unfortunately you cannot fit 2 x Black Wolf HexaTherm 2D Mega Deluxe Queen mats into an Oztent RV5

What’s the difference between black wolf 2d and 3D? 1 answer
Hi just wondering what the difference is between the 2d and 3D mattresses? If it’s just the sides why the price difference? Which is better round or square?
Megan - Yarrawarrah (5 years ago)
G'day Megan,
The First and most obvious differences, as you've said, is the mattress shape. The HexaTherm 2D is, what I like to call, a pillow style mattresses where the bottom and top are fused at the seam. The HexaTherm 3D is box sided, more like your traditional mattress construction. Whilst both mattresses have a 10cm thickness, the HexaTherm 2D has an overall denser foam and a much higher R-Value. In terms of which is better, they're both excellent mats, and whichever one you go with you'll sleep well!
