Easy to manoeuvre wherever you go and adaptable for different environments, the Helion 60L Wheeled Travel Pack from Deuter won’t let you down when you need to carry gear on domestic expeditions.
It converts easily into a backpack by zippering back the harness cover to reveal the comfortably padded carrying system. To allow easy switching from rolling to carrying the shoulder straps can be left out with the handle extended and the large profile wheels with quality bearings can be covered by the hip wings when carrying. Pack your gear into the lockable main compartment and stabilise your clothes and belongings with the luggage straps and streamline the bag with the compression straps. You can also grab this pack from different angles thanks to the three padded handles on the top, sides and end.

How durable is this1 answer
As it is too large for carry on. Will it survive being thrown about in booked luggage
Linda - Toormina(5 years ago)
G'day Linda,
The Deuter Helion series is designed as a Travel Pack, so will withstand the rigours of travel. When travelling by plane, make sure to tuck all you loos straps, etc in like you would with any kind of luggage, and you should be fine!

for tall women1 answer
I read some earlier comments about this bag and the harness being good for smaller women. I am 185 cm and I was wondering if the Helion 60 or the 80 might better suit my height. Thanks for the reply on the weight of the bag too.
Cindy - Penong(8 years ago)
G'day Cindy,
You're very welcome, that's what I'm here for! As for which size would best suit, because of your height you could very well get away with the Helion 80, but just keep in mind that if you get a larger pack you're likely to fill it up to the brim and so it might get a little too heavy.
Both the 60 and the 80 aren't designed to be carried on your back for long periods of time, so the 80 would probably be fine if you were mostly going to carry it by wheeling it on the ground.

weight of empty bag1 answer
Can you please tell me the weight of the bag when empty...I think the weight shown on the website is wrong.
Cindy - Penong(8 years ago)
G’day Cindy,
I apologise about the mix up with the weight, I’ve just checked with the supplier and the Deuter Helion 60 Wheeled Travel Pack weighs 3.4kgs when it’s empty. I've fixed the specs up now so it should read correctly on the product page.

Martin - Mansfield(8 years ago)
G'day Martin,Â
I've just checked this for you, and Deuter only make the Helion 60 Wheeled Travel Pack in the one colour which is black and blue.Â

Is this size suitable for women (5'3inches)? Do you have recommendations for a daypack that may clip on?1 answer
Do you have recommendations for a daypack that may clip on?
Monica - Gerringong(8 years ago)
G'day Monica,
The Helion 60 from Deuter is the smaller size from Deuter's wheeled travel pack range, and from examining it in store it should definitley be suitable for your 5"3 height.Â
Unfortunately due to the size of the buckles on the front of this pack, they are not compatible with the smaller day packs in Deuter's range. You may be able to purchase a seperate strap which will enable you to clip the wheeled pack and day pack together but that won't be the sturdiest option.Â
Deuter do some excellent day packs like the Giga or the Futura, but you may want to consider a wheeled pack that comes with a detacheable day pack like the Black Wolf Grand Tour, which is a good size for a more petite frame.Â

Is this carry on size? 1 answer
Annie - GLEBE, NSW(9 years ago)
No this is far too big for carry on luggage Annie. Have a look under our "Carry-on Luggage" category, you will find some carry-on approved bags there.
