The Coleman HeatSheild Gazebo Series is not compatible with any Coleman Tents, and cannot be connected.

Was told by sales person that the coleman heatshield was waterproof dont want to take it out of pack until Im sure

The Heat Shield 3 x 3 Deluxe Gazebo is best described at water-resistant. It will keep you dry for short stints of unexpected showers, but it doesn't have a specified waterproof rating and has been designed to provide shade and block UV radiation.

Unfortunately not, the Silver series Instant Up Tents don't have the required velcro strip to attach them to a Coleman Gazebo.

I'd say it is water-resistant, Luke, it will keep you dry for short stints of light rain, but it isn't intended for this purpose.
The light-blocking fabric is designed for shade rather than rain protection. We find that many standard gazeboes are not good at repelling water for long periods of time and have moved to not recommending any gazeboes for rain protection as too many of our customers were getting wet.
