Laying out in your hammock on a warm evening, with a cool breeze blowing and a spectacular view of the night skies has got to be the definition of living the dream. The only problem is – balmy nights mean that those biting insects are out in full force.
The Hammock Bug Net from Sea to Summit is designed to let you enjoy an al fresco snooze, without the annoying additions of flies, gnats and mozzies buzzing around your head.
The whole point of sleeping in a hammock is to be able to have a lot of room out in the open, which is why this net is designed to give you the most amount of interior space possible.
The spreader pole will keep the mesh of your body and allow for more space, so you can enjoy a good night’s sleep under the heavens. This net is made from high visibility mesh and doesn’t have a ridgeline, so your starry view won’t be obstructed. Best of all the Hammock Bug Net is easy to set up and get in and out of easily thanks to the wide zippered opening – so it’ll add the perfect amount of protection to your sleeping quarters.

Hammock bug net1 answer
does the bug net fit both the single and double sea to summit hammocks?
David - Avalon Beach, NSW(4 years ago)
G'day David,
You'll be able to physically fit the double hammock in the Hammock Bug Net, but only be able to use it with one person. You want a width of no more than a meter inside the bug net.

Spreader pole width?1 answer
How wide is the spreader pole? Are there loops to attach clips to internally? Does the weight shown include the spreader pole?
David - NSW(4 years ago)
G'day David,
The collapsible spreader pole is 80cm wide, there aren't any internal clips or loops to attach to, unfortunately. The weight includes the spreader pole.

Hammock1 answer
Hi was wondering if this hammock comes with the straps to suspend it?
Lesley - Cairns (6 years ago)
G'day Lesley,
Just to be clear the hammock bug net isn't a hammock on its own, it's designed to hang around either the Ultralight Hammock or Pro Hammock from Sea to Summit. You will need to add straps to these to get them hanging and whilst I'm sure you could make your own the Sea to Summit Hammock Suspension Straps work really well. They're super easy to set up and easy to adjust.
