A popular and functional beach shelter, the Caribee UV Guardian Beach Shelter is a lightweight pop-up beach shade that comes with a UPF50+ sun protection rating so you and your family stay protected from harmful UV rays.

The innovative pole design enables setup with a pull of a string and packed down with a push on the frame. Ventilation and sun protection can be adjusted via the rear zippered door and the integrated sandbags on each side create stability.

Complete with sand pegs and carry bag, the Caribee UV Guardian Beach Shelter is a great companion for a family trip to the beach.

Hi - I did watch the video which is fine , but nothing on packing it down, which is always the difficult part.

The pack-up process is also straightforward; you just push down on the red bars below the hub, which will release the poles and allow you to fold up the leg/sides.

Internal Pocket1 answer

Is their an internal pocket where you can store a phone and a small speaker like a Beats Pill for music?

As these are out of stock at the moment I can't go and physically check one out, but I knowÂ that there is at least one small internal pocket that should fit your phone and speaker. There might even be two pockets, but don't hold me to that!Â

The Caribee Guardian UV Beach Shelter doesn't havbe a recommend capacity so I can't give you a hard and fast answer.

This shelter is 1.9L x 1.9W x 1.4H so you could probably get 4 people inside it, but anything over that would most likely be uncomfortable.

Can you purchase a attachments for the front, like an awning?2 answers

We love our caribee sunshade, but when we go to the beach in the morning, the sun comes in. We love to have the door facing the beach so we can look out at the ocean, but it's full of sun. If there were an additional awning you could snap on with poles that would block the sun coming in, but keep the door open to allowing the breeze that would be spectacular! If one doesn't exist, would you let the manufacturer know of our suggestion.

There are no add-on accessories for this sorry Lisa, I'll mention it to our Caribee representative but given we've not had any other similar enquiries I can't see it hitting the shelves anytime soon. The best I can recommend is setting up a second shelter such as the Moana in front of your Caribee Guardian, but this would mean carrying more gear to the beach. Sorry we couldn't help with this.

Hi Melissa, these are all UPF50+ rated, so will offer the same sun protection regardless of the colour. In terms of how cool they will be, I don't think you will notice a lot of difference between them in terms of temperature, the fabric has a silver backing which does not let much light through.

The rear wall is attached along the bottom edge Elaine, and a zipper runs around the top to secure it. You can see the wall lying undone at the front of the shelter about half way through the video.

Hi Dagne, the fabric has a 2000mm waterhead rating. It will be fine in a light shower, but the structure itself is not designed to keep you dry. As for the height, you are looking at 1.4m at the peak.

Hi Dagne, I have updated these details on our website. Weight is 2.8kg, packed dimensions are 107L x 13W x 13H cm. The fabric is waterproof but won't provide much shelter in the rain given it cannot be fully enclosed.

While the quick pitch frame of the UV Guardian is easy to set up, they have some limitations in high winds with the corner knuckles collpasing into their packed position.This can be easily overcome with the addition of the 4pk guy ropes listed in the product description for the UV Guardian added to each corner.
