The Black Wolf Grasshopper UL 3 has innovative pole configuration that gives it the stability of a dome tent, good headroom and two convenient entrances with vestibules covering both. This is what sets it apart from other 3-season, 3-person tents.
The now lighter nylon ripstop fly, nylon PU floor and heat-taped seams ensure water repellency in bad weather. There is excellent air flow through ventilation from the mesh inner, plus extra vents in the fly. Pitching is easy, as the poles and pole end webbing and clips are colour coded, and there are cord lock peg points for flexibility when setting up. This tent features a teardrop-shaped door with zips all around on either side, which makes access easy.
Storage wise, the dual side vestibules are invaluable for stashing your boots, pack, and even your wet or muddy gear out of your sleeping space. The reflective strips make the tent easy for you to locate at night, while during the day the ecologically friendly green colour blends in with the environment.
Great for the couple or trio on a lightweight adventure, you can rely on the Grasshopper UL 3 to shelter you on your trip.

will my exped megamat 10 fit in here? how does it go in heavy weather?1 answer
Will my mat fit in here? how does it go in heavy rain/decent wind?
Matt - Brighton(7 years ago)
G'day Matt,
Your Exped Megamat will fit inside a Black Wolf Grasshopper UL 3 Hiking Tent. There will only be about 5cm of room either side of the mat, so you might want to look at sleeping diagonally in the tent for some extra peace of mind. As for the wind and rain, with a 2000mm Waterhead rating, the Grasshopper should keep you dry in most Aussie downpours. For wind, I'd recommend that you use all your guy ropes and peg the tent out well with each use, this will significantly reduce the chances of any issues with heavy wind.
